Jabari Tries: (A Motivational Story of Perseverance, Determination, Problem-Solving, and Teamwork - For Preschoolers, Kindergarteners, and Kids Ages 4-8) Review: A wonderful stem story about a boy who persists. - I loved this book about Jabari (who also stars in the book "Jabari Jumps")! It is about a boy who wants to invent something that can fly across his yard. He tries to do it without any help but discovers that he can't do it alone - that having some support makes the job successful. His father is encouraging but not interfering. His cute little sister helps him figure it out and shares in his success. The illustrations are fun to look at and lead so some great discussions. My little one loved the excitement of inventing something and making it work. He also has a little sister and appreciated how Jabari's sister Nika in the story was so like his own. Review: Great Story About Perseverance and Team Work - The Brother and sister learn to work together and I love the encouragement of the father.

Perfect for young builders and kiddos with younger siblings!!!
Loveeee this book. I have a little builder/engineer on my hands who also happens to be an older brother. In the story Jabari attempts to build something and continues to fail. Dad suggests including his baby sister as his partner, and together the two of them are able to successfully make the plane fly. Other things to note, Jabari became frustrated in the story, dad stepped in and gave him a calm down technique and that really was the icing on the cake for me. This book is not only a great story but it has life lessons in it as well. I love it!!

Excellent book about resilience
My son understands the theme and applies to his day. When he feels as if something is hard, I’ll remind him of this book and he’ll keep trying. I enjoy this book. My son enjoys this book too.

A Must-Read for Kids
Jabari Tries is all about determination, problem-solving, patience, perseverance, and teamwork. I love that it features a character who doesn’t get it right on the first try. Instead, Jabari experiences a variety of feelings as he learns to work through a challenge. It has a wonderful message for kids about how to handle situations that don’t go as planned. I think your kids are going to love this one!

Beautiful Story
My son and I love reading this book together. I even caught him reading it to himself after he was in bed. I hope there are many more Jabari books to come!

Amazing Book for Toddlers!
Love Gaia Cornwall! The Jabari books are amazing. We had Jabari Jumps first and as soon as I saw this book was released, we got this one too. Amazing lessons and great ways to talk about hard feelings with little ones! 10/10!

My 2yo took an immediate liking to the book after one round of reading. The story is engaging. The art is easy to follow (has great focal points) and quite realistic - there are many details that the child can continue to observe. The book is bring read independently and is one of the first choices now even after 3 weeks.
