Awesome System!
This system is amazingly quiet and very powerful! it moves a lot of air! It will be a great addition to the house in spring and summer when the mornings and nights are cool enough to open up the house. I can barely hear it standing below the system, no kidding. I installed the wireless control system, which is adequate. I would prefer something that is more "connected", like through my home automation or even Alexa. There is no App for this system.Install video is a short 2 minute list of the steps you need to take to install it properly. It was recorded in a perfect set (not an attic) with lots of light and clearance, available power, and a flat floor, all of which don't exist in the real world. Keep that in mind. I had to move electrical and ducting to make it fit where I wanted it installed. I also framed in the intake box, instead of simply attaching to one side of one truss. Also, I happened to have a 20Amp line that I could easily pull into the attic and use for this system, otherwise I would have had to calculate expected loads on other circuits available to me in the attic and use one with an expected low load. I did the install myself. This system is heavy, so I did take it apart to get it in the attic. Pay careful attention while doing this because when you try to put it back together in the attic it could take a bit of time. I had already installed the intake box to the ceiling before realizing it was all but impossible to reinstall the duct to it, so I had to remove the box and work with trying to reconnect it to the duct, while standing on the trusses with only adequate light. Just that took about 30 minutes. Could have done it much quicker on a flat floor with lots of light (like the install video). Everything would be much easier if you can convince someone to go into the attic with you...All that said, I really am impressed with this system and can't wait to use it when it warms up here.

I'm loving the breeze!
I did not do a full install (timer + off/low/high switch) of the QC ES-7000. Instead, I ended up wiring for low speed and plugging into a smart plug.I tried the Kasa dimmer switch suggestion but I didn't find enough instructions online. I ended up tripping the switch and I was unable to reset it. I neglected to account for the high speed draw of the fan (727W) and the max capacity of the dimmer switch (300W). If you're going to try this setup, try the low speed wiring (164W). My unit also has the yellow wire, which people claim is the wire for the medium speed. (Please share the watt consumption for medium speed if you know it as it may work with the dimmer switch idea.)I've been running the fan (at low speed) for 2.5 hours (after I finished installing it). Everywhere I go in the house, there's a breeze even in rooms with closed doors. Outside, it's 64F. Indoors, it ranges from 69F (lots of windows) to 72F (fewer windows and/or doors closed).Comments on rating:1. This is my first house fan and I don't have a basis to compare the noise with. It probably deserves 5 stars for Noise level.2. For Ease of install, I only gave it 4 stars. I had a hard time installing this unit by myself. Two people on the job or maybe the smaller units would make this an easier install. I got lucky with an available plug in my attic. Wiring the unit as per the instructions would make this install even harder.3. Overall, I gave this unit a 5 star rating. The breeze I'm getting from the outside feels better than the cold air from the AC. Plus, I can run the fan all night and I will use even less electricity than my AC running for an hour.Comments on installation:1. My attic is crowded with HVAC ducting. The original spot I wanted to install it in was too difficult to access. Be prepared to look for another spot for your fan.2. Make sure that the spot you choose to cut does not have vertical or diagonal wood next to it or it might block your duct.3. It might be easier for the smaller units but I had a hard time with the huge duct that came with mine. I was unable to feed it through the hole I made. I have an 8 foot ceiling and I didn't feel comfortable stretching out the duct. If I had another pair of hands, maybe it would have been doable. Fortunately, I was able to take it up through my normal attic access. I had to flatten and tie it so it stayed flat while I carried it up.4. The install video instructs you to screw in drywall screws to the damper box before installing the grille. You don't get/use those screws until you install the grille.5. The install video or booklet does not instruct you to drill pilot holes during the grille installation. You're supposed to take your drywall screws and screw into the metal flanges of the damper box. When the first screw failed, I used a 1/8" metal drill bit to make pilot holes.6. I got about 6 1" black wood screws and a few small black screws. I didn't use the small black screws but I think they're supposed to be used to secure the duct to the fan and the damper box. My unit came with adjustable clamps.

Quiet, easy install, good airflow. Great purchase
The unit is packaged well, had clear installation instructions and templates, and works well. The unit is quiet unless you are directly umder the intake grate. If you walk 10 feet away the noise barely there. We have it in the hallway and cannot hear it anywhere else in the house. The installation took about 2 hours not including getting the wiring where you want it. The wiring for my situation was very easy and only took about an hour. That will vary job to job. I wired my unit into a smart outlet so I can just tell alexa to turn it on hi or low. *a word of caution⚠️* if you do a smart outlet. Set it up so only one speed can be on at a time to avoid damaging your unit. I did that via alexa routines. We played with it to see what kind of air movement we get (3000 Sq ft house) and was impressed with how quickly it cooled the house. It will save us a bundle on cooling this year.
