Kills the nest.
Kills the nest. I keep reordering because it keeps working. Every other spring or so carpenter ants make an appearance in the house. After trying various products to eradicate them, we came across this. Two weeks after applying the ants aren't in the house anymore and the outdoor ant trails are gone. We follow the trails as best we can before applying to give the ants plenty of opportunities to take the granules into the nest.

Bottle pictured is less than half full of granules
I have used this product before and it does kill carpenter ants. The product description is a bit deceiving though , because, when the container is unpacked from the box, you realize it is less than half full. There is approximately 2 lbs sold in a 5 lb. bottle, so you don't get near as much as you expect by looking at the photo. I question the value for the money.

Effective but also attractive to pets so be careful.
Very effective on carpenter ants BUT it apparently tastes sweet. Puppies were immediately attracted to it. Be careful how you disperse it.

Had so many ants in back yard, got rid of ants but I notice in about two weeks, they start coming back. I will purchase again because it was nice using my pool free from ants.

The ants ignored this bait.
Perhaps the batch I received was an anomaly, but as far as I'm concerned BASF - Advance 375A Granular Ant Bait 2lb- Abamectin is WORTHLESS! I'm out $70. :( The packaging was undamaged, and the bottle sealed upon arrival. The bait has been deployed in accordance with the instructions written on the bottle both indoors and out, and the carpenter ants simply ignore it. They walk right over the bait. :( I deployed & re-deployed the bait a couple weeks ago, and it remains untouched. That's why I confirm this product isn't worth purchasing!

They know it’s poison, watch them throw it out of the nest
I think the video speaks for itself… i managed to get it in the nest/hole, they knew it was poison and started kicking it out. Check the video out. So this isn’t going to work!!!
