No additional anvils were supplied with the one I purchased. Sorry I can't help with a supplier.

Mine was made in Sweden. Rapid is a Swedish co. who has made flooring staplers for 50 +years always look for made in Sweden when looking for Rapid staplers . Never China ugh!

Will a rapid 1/4 inch staples work in the rapid hd31 staples?

Yes. Model HD uses the Rapid 73 series staples, which are a heavier gauge wire than a "standard" office staple. Rapid may no longer make this in 1/4" leg length, but you can use Bostitch #STH5019-1/4 1/4" staples, which are interchangeable with the Rapid 73 series staples when used with Rapid HD31 stapler.
