Great Value for the Money
I have been doing wheel thrown pottery for a few years at school and then at studios, but I wanted the flexibility to do it at home. I know they are exceptional as I have always used them in the past, but I couldn't justify a $2k Brent wheel given my scale of use. I've been using this for about a year and for the cost of this wheel, it has been quite surprisingly effective. I don't throw huge pieces, mostly smaller bowls/mugs, but I have thrown bowls and vases up to 4lbs without any issues and feels sturdy enough to throw pieces bigger than this. As mentioned in other reviews, it's a little short, but that is easy to work around with either risers or a shorter stool. Also the pedal takes very light pressure compared to higher end wheels, not a problem, just something to get used to. I really wanted to use bats, so I drilled bat pin holes at 9" and use Speedball bats, overall that has worked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this wheel to any beginner or even anyone making smaller production pieces as I do, for fraction of the cost of big name wheels it is still very effective.

Great value!
I have had my wheel for a few months and I absolutely love it! The price is great too. It’s pretty quiet, very sturdy. It is a little short but I just bought bed raisers and put them under the legs and it’s perfect now. The only thing that took me some time to get used to was the metal bat. It irritated my hands at first but now I don’t notice it at all. My one critic would be that the splash pan is pretty flimsy and leaks through the connecting areas. I’m worried it’ll break one of these days. Other than that this wheel has been my bestfriend

Wheel is manufactured unevenly and is not worth the time or money
I ordered this wheel expecting it to be cheap but at least functional. The wheel came with a wobble, so I ordered a replacement in hopes it was just defective however the second one was the exact same. My husband looked at the motor and realized it is just manufactured incorrectly and isn’t level. No matter how many times you order this, it will not be worth the money or time. I understand that it is a cheap version of a wheel but at the very least it should be usable. Very disappointed in this product. I also tried to reach out to the company and never got a response, so I resorted to giving a negative review so that others will not have to deal with the same issue.

Surprisingly delighted with these wheels
I have a small pottery studio and I purchased these wheels for beginner students. Overall, I they have been very functional for the price.Height: They are quite short, so I needed to set them up on three bricks per each leg to bring them up to the level of a short stool.Weight: The foot pedal is very light weight which takes a bit of getting used to if you are experienced with a Brent or Shimpo wheel.Sharp Wheel Head: The wheel head can be sharp at first, so be careful not to press your hand right down to the wheel when centering. After a few uses, clay will fill up the sharp ridges and it is easier on your hands.Loose Water Basin: The water basin is not a tight fit, so it's best to use as little water as possible. Less water is also helpful for removing the pot from the wheel. You can attach a bat to the wheel with clay, but it is messy to clean up. Or you can drizzle a bit of water on the wheel in front of the pot before running a wire underneath. This method drags a bit of water underneath the pot and with dry hands, you can lift it off the bat. Or, you can use pot lifter's.Great for beginner's!

Very nice machine.
It is sturdy, runs well. I would say the splash pan is on the cheap side but for the money this was well worth it to learn on. I did put blocks under it to raise the height. Foot pedal is so tall you can’t get knees even without some height.

Belt keeps falling off.
Belt fell off after 10 minutes and kept falling off. Package looks like it was repackaged because of....this issue..
