I left my original review at the end of this one. The very first aerator I bought arrive broken. Upon leaving this review of my dissatisfaction, the company sent me a brand new one. Even better, they sent it to friends house. It was her birthday gift. She lived in another state and by the time the new item would arrive, I would have already been on a plane and in a different state without her gift. They made sure she got her gift by accepting my request to send to a different address. What an amazing company. I'm not sure who else would have done that!! We used the aerator while at her house and I gotta say it truly is the best I've had for the price to quality aspect. It's simple and beautiful to use, and it does make a difference. I ended up buying one for myself. That's how much I loved it. Mine slipped when washing it and it broke unfortunately. Very fragile glass. But I enjoyed it while I had it. Even though it's quite fragile.. here I am purchasing another for a gift to my mother. I just can't beat the quality to price of this item. And do I need to mention again thays it's just absolutely gorgeous watching the pour! My item delivery time said it would come Wednesday . . Well here I am on a Monday and my item is out for delivery!! This company is just above and beyond for their service!!! Definitely would recommend to my friends and to anyone. And I'm sure I'll purchase again either as a gift or for myself in the future. Don't think . . Don't rummage through any more reviews. Get out your wallet and buy this beauty!! Original review: I feel terrible leaving bad reviews, but as I've seen several other people talk about how fragile this item is.. that's all I can comment on since it arrived cracked in the package. I can't say if it works, or if it's a waste, as I didn't even get to use it. Not to mention it was actually for a friends birthday gift, so I am also now having to find a last minute gift. Not the best experience. But, for those of you just wanting to know if it's a good product and does what it says, please disregard my review as I don't know how it works. All I can attest for is receiving the product in a condition that I couldn't even use/gift.

Simple design. It aerates the wine without a hole to let air in. Very ingenious. Low tech, but it get the job done.

We first saw this product at a winery in Paso Robles, but we broke it the first time we used it when the bottle got knocked over (a wine drinking hazard, of course)! So we immediately shopped on Amazon for a replacement. We're big fans. We can definitely taste an improvement in flavor when we use it--it does a great job of introducing oxygen / working it's magic in the amount of time it takes to pour. When we're done using it we just rinse it with hot water, and throw it in the dishwasher before we run it each time. We like the little stand it comes with, too. We're impressed with this product, and are relieved we don't have to buy a large traditional decanter that takes up so much cabinet space in our tiny apartment. This would make a thoughtful hostess gift, for sure.

Nice looking works well

I have had three of these aerators and probably won't get another one. I love them, but I keep breaking them - my fault as I am for some reason very clumsy when it comes to these but that does also mean they are somewhat fragile. Of course, glass things are fragile, so this is not a failure of quality. This aerates wine really nicely - I can taste a difference between having used this and not, and I've used other aerators and this one does work a little better. This aerator offers good functionality and ease of use. The stopper fits all of the wine bottles I've tried it in well; I would say it leaked slightly maybe once or twice and I've been using these for years. An aerator of this style provides a one-handed pour aeration and so is slightly easier / more convenient to use than the type that you hold while pouring the wine through. I have a Vinturi aerator that I love also that does require two hands and you have to be careful not to drip wine on the counter, etc. This aerator is also pretty in the bottle. Not that this is important, but it's design and lovely glass do make for a pretty bottle of wine. My only complaint is that this aerator is harder to keep clean. If you can rinse it pretty quickly after use with good hot water it cleans up pretty well, but if (like me sometimes) you take two or three days to finish a bottle of red and leave the aerator in that whole time, the wine does tend to stick to and stain the sides of the aerator. I've yet to find a tool that can reach the curved out sides of this aerator's design. I was able to get it clean by soaking it in hot soapy water for a little while and just shaking the water around and through over and over when that happened but it did take a while. Obviously this doesn't go in the dishwasher. So, in summary, this aerator works well and is pretty in the bottle and convenient to use. If you can commit to cleaning it sooner rather than later to avoid staining, and can be careful handling it, it will be a great aerator for you.

Not only is this aerator beautiful but is is wonderful at aerating wine!!!! Would buy it again especially as gifts for other wine drinkers!!! It is a little pricey but I'm glad I bought it..... my husband really likes it too!

I've been debating for several months now whether or not to get an aerator. I did some quick shopping around and decided i definitely didn't want an aerator i had to hold and just wanted in-bottle. As per everything you buy, the negative comments had me worried, but the positive certainly out weighed the negative. There's a video out there in the reviews that someone compares this aerator to the Vinitri's Aerator that you hold and pour over a glass, it's worth a watch if your not convinced. Many of the complaints regarded the aerator breaking easily since its glass and not plastic. The newer model claims to be of a stronger glass, but honestly i know to be super careful with it since it is glass. One tip given in the instructions is to tip the bottle upside down with your thumb covering the spout of the aerator, letting the reservoir fill, and then tip right side up and uncover to help aerate the bottle. I can testify that when used properly this thing really does enhance wine flavors. to my pallet, I noticed a smoother and enriched flavor that certainly covers up a bit of the harshness from a red. if your on the fence about aerators because you think they might be a gimmick, do some research, and make sure you purchase one that actually is designed to maximize air contact with the wine (the Soiree certainly will do that). I've seen some that are just a spout with a wide lip and are advertised as an aerator, which just seems hard to believe.

Das Produkt überzeugt durch sein Design. Absoluter Hingucker an jedem Weinabend. Das Handling ist am Anfang ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, doch noch dem Einschenken von ein paar Gläsern bekommt man das richtige Gefühl dafür. Als Geschenk super!

Bon compromis si vous ne voulez pas utiliser une carafe à vin. On sent une sacré différence de goût en utilisant cet appareil. A utiliser sur des grands vins ou vins riches en alcool et non sur des vins bon marché ou jeunes. Utilisé sur ces dernier, on ne sent aucune différence de goût. Le produit est un peu fragile car en verre, mais c'est plus classe et plus présentable qu'un model plastique. L'aerateur se fixe bien à la bouteille. Aucun risque qu'il ne tombe meme en retounant totalement la bouteille. D'ailleurs, pour verser un verre de vin avec cet aerateur il faut retouner complètement la boutelle. Livré avec un support de rangement.
