Dellonda 4 Burner Gas BBQ Grill with Piezo Ignition, Built-In Thermometer, Black/Stainless Steel - DG15

I was very glad I read all the reviews before building this item. As everyone had mentioned the challenges with assembly, myself (50 year old male) and my daughter (11) spent a long and calm time firstly checking everything was there (it was) and secondly, planning the actual assembly section by section (which was wise). As a result, we had no pieces over and none missing, as well as a sturdy BBQ which we've used three times already since purchase. There were a couple of issues - like some others, the ignitor wasn't working but the seller shipped a replacement so that was resolved. Also, as others experienced, there were a couple of dents and a small but noticeable scratch - the seller very kindly offered a small but appreciated partial refund to account for that, given that I really was not keen to take the completed product apart and build a whole new one! As a committed charcoal bbq'er, I have always sworn I would never, never, EVER, go gas. Now that I have, I'm wowed by the convenience, but still miss the fun! The ability to control the heat level is really good though. Gas cylinder refill agreements though - that's a *whole* new world of pain! Thanks Dellonda - here's to many happy years of using this great product.

I got the two-burner version. It's a bit of a challenge to assemble, though we got there eventually. It failed to ignite on first use - but it turns out that Dellonda's customer service is second to none. I was offered a entire replacement barbecue, but rather than disassemble one unit and then assemble another one, I suggested Dellonda forward a new igniter to see if that might work and, yes, it did. The entire unit itself isn't as posh as a Weber, but it will do the job - indeed, I found that it heats up faster - and hotter - than the Weber that I've used in the past. A good unit in terms of value for money.

I got the 3 burner version but my comments probably also apply to the 2 and 4 burner versions. This BBQ lights well, is easy to control and cooks evenly. It also has a good system for catching the hot fat dripping onto a tray and a cup below that. Both are very easy to detach for cleaning. ONE TIP ON ASSEMBLY.... This BBQ is quite easy to assemble compared to some from the far east that I have made up. For example there are only 4 bolts that actually have nuts, for the rest there are prepared threaded holes which significantly reduces hassle and the number of small parts. But the instructions are not exactly clear on where the legs should be fitted in the vertical direction. Note that all 4 legs do not go up to meet the bottom of the side trays, as you might assume, but lower than that leaving a 42mm gap to the tray. See attached photo of a rear leg that was supplied by the excellent Dellonda customer services team. I can thoroughly recommend this great value BBQ for anyone prepared to do a bit of assembly.

Had opened the box and noticed two of the legs seemed bent and damaged. It looks like they have been used in the past, possibly a return from somebody else. I contacted Dellonda they told me the legs are meant to be like that so try building it anyway. I begged to differ as there were noticeable paint chip and damage marks on the parts. (A couple of marks on the hood too) Anyway 5 hours later the bbq was built. It’s VERY fiddly to build and some of the screw holes didn’t line up so I’ve had to miss some screws out meaning overall the bbq is a little bit wobbly. It does look ok though and the drip tray is easily removable which is good but can’t rate higher than 3 stars as didn’t really want a wobbly bbq

When we first bought this barbecue, it arrived with a part missing. Fortunately, we were able to adapt. It’s very tricky, time consuming and frustrating to assemble. Eventually, we were able to put it together. In the end, It was well worth the effort. The Dellonda 2 Burner Gas BBQ, did what we were hoping it would do, light up quickly and barbecue the food. It barbecues to perfection. The food cooks evenly and is simply delicious. All those frustrating hours of trying to put it together, was well worth it. We recommend this barbecue, but not for those with little patience.

Only buy this bbq if u have a spare day to put it together!! Instructions very poor, lots of bent bits of metal that needed reshaping. Haven’t tried cooking on it yet, looks ok now together probably only worth half what we paid for it. Wouldn’t buy again.

Building the BBQ took between 60 and 90 mins, it does not seem to be stable until you fit all the parts, but then it is stable enough. All parts arrived undamaged. Delivery was quick. We have used it once and all was great, good grill space (4 burner) for lots of food. The grease drip worked quite well but some did drip down the leg toward the wheel. I would recommend the BBQ and look forward to more tasty food this summer!

When eventually together this is a lovely, sturdy BBQ. It cooks beautifully and the temperature adjustment is perfect. I have cooked on it the last 4 nights and am totally impressed with it. Two negatives I must mention. 1. It is a complete arse to put together due to the terrible instructions. 2. Don’t buy it with the cover as the slightest breeze will see the cover that comes with it off down the street unless something is weighing it down. Other than that I highly recommend it for its cooking ability. Make sure you buy ‘Patio Gas’.
