Best engineered platform feeder I have ever had
This feeder arrived within 27 hours of order. The packaging was great. The best features I shopped for were recycled product that wouldn't rot or rust, screened bottom to keep seed dry along with an extended overhang to protect the perch space, and easy fill through hinged roof so I didn't have to lift the feeder down each time to fill. All are just as depicted.I didn't expect the plexiglass sides to have a cutout space on the bottom of each to allow seeds to flow more easily as needed. This was a huge plus. Also the distance between the overhang and the perch is a couple of inches shorter than my previous feeder. The finches, grosbeaks, and cardinals were easily able to figure out the smaller landing area. But the best news is the dozen bluejays who were frequently taking over the feeding station weren't as capable or smart. I am losing less feed to these bullies and will likely make up the cost of the feeder just by keeping it full longer. Kudos to the great minds that created this product.

Tough, Big, and Easy to Fill
My mom requested a large-seed bird feeder and a suet cake bird feeder for her birthday. She lives in a flat, open area where heavy thunderstorms, high wind, and snow fall are all normal parts of the weather. Wooden feeders rot; metal feeders rust, and plastic feeders bust. This feeder - made of a recycled material - is tough and hefty, perfect for withstanding her climate. She prefers using large bird seed, such as sunflower seeds, and this bird feeder holds it without spilling a lot and wasting it. My younger sister is the one who fills it, and she says it's the easiest feeder to fill they have ever owned. I expect this feeder to withstand a lifetime of use. The only thing a cautious buyer should know is that it's HEAVY, especially after you fill it with seed. It caused my mom's outdoor shepherd's hook to bend, so we came up with an alternative hanging location. You will need a very strong hanging station for this one.

Hubby Loves It! Birds Love It!
This bird feeder was exactly what my husband wanted for Father's Day and we did some shopping around locally and couldn't find the right size for the right price. This one is perfect! We have it hanging on our bird feeder setup along with two other bird feeders and a tray. It hangs straight and it is very stable for smaller birds like finches, and even the larger ones like the blue jays. All the birds seem to love it and it is easily large enough to accommodate five or six medium sized birds (like cardinals) without any fighting. Definitely wod purchase again!

Bigger than I was expecting
It's not necessarily a bad thing but I think smaller ones look better, that big seems a bit odd to me and it's quite heavy. On the plus side, I should have to refill it less often and wind should not make it swing that much. I guess my advice is to look at the dimensions and compare before ordering ;)Edit : it tends to get empty pretty quickly, in a matter of 2 days, not sure if due to wind, squirrels or blackbirds throwing the seeds on the floor. I think the "feeder edges" should be higher to prevent this from happening.Update : I found a workaround somehow, in order to avoid having to refill every 2 days, I changed the direction/orientation of the "plexiglass window" so only one side allows birds to feed. This seems to reduce the flow/rate at which the seeds "drop/fall". For some reasons, before that, I noticed some big black birds liked to throw seeds on the floor/grass. Now, with this workaround, they don't so it's less messy.
