Works
Worked for us . We have some new construction around the corner and started noticing field mice . We could hear them in the walls . This helped block off all entry points and problem was solved. Easy to use, great value for the price, the tool added to the functionality of the product. Just an eye soar

This is what you want for mice and rats
When the “pest doctor” came out to help with our rats nightly invasions, he said we could save some money by putting in the weep hole barrier ourselves. He didn’t say we’d need a particular kind of rat barrier. No problem,” said I. “I can do that.” So I promptly bought more copper wool and shoved it in the weep holes. Sure enough, a month later, the rat plot thickened. After he disposed of several rats, and we thought our problems were over. Guess what. That pest guy’s visit wasn’t covered under contract. Why? The rats, or Ratzillas he called them, had pulled the copper wool out of numerous weep holes. Was the pest control guy playing games with us? No. I saw the weep holes myself, the very ones I had filled weeks prior. What am I supposed to fill them with? XCluder. The stuff you see on this listing. We had some delivered the next day. When you buy this, you note that it has special scissors and special gloves. You want to use those gloves. They will keep your hands from getting cut up on the fabric you used to fill the weep holes. I understand now why rats don’t want to play with this. I can’t imagine the damage it would do to their mouths. The gloves are covered with flexible rubber. There were times that my fingers encountered the fabric without the gloves. Trust me. You’ll understand. Even through the gloves where there is no rubber coating, you can feel the sharp metal. The fabric kit also comes with scissors that are capable of cutting the fabric. You might think that this is just a cute little accessory to include. Like the gloves. It’s not. It’s a necessity. You’ll be glad you bought it. This isn’t perfect though. One spot where the pest control guy filled a weep hole with this, he didn’t pack it tight enough. I noticed it had been pulled out. Make sure it’s in there without space for rats or mice to get in. Reportedly, it will expand. But, as I say, in one space it either fell out or was pulled out. The long and short is that you shouldn’t waste money on the copper wool. It’s throwing good money after bad. This product is an excellent product so far as I can tell at this point. Make sure to cut it appropriately but also make sure it fills the space. There may be other similar products. But I can say that copper wool doesn’t work against Ratzilla.

Xcluder is extremely strong, so I believe this will stop mice, if you like DIY.
Four stars do the the useless scissors and somewhat high cost. Seems like pretty hearty stuff. Sure didn't cut much with the scissors they provided. I ended up using a razor blade cutter to at least make "perforations" where I could tear the fabric. That's the best a razor blade could do against this sturdy steel fabric. I think their video is a bit misleading on using the entire width of the strip to run under siding. It really depends on how big the opening is that you are trying to stuff. I did under my cedar siding where it meets the foundation wall and some areas used up the full width, folding in half, while others only could accommodate half the width. I had tried that foamy Stuff, meant to deter rodents, etc, but what an awful mess -- unless I got a bum can. Hard to spray upward and get it to stay. Xcluder staying in place, was easy as pie, using fingers and a Philips head screwdriver. The gloves that came with the kit were great for me (female). I imagine they'd stretch fairly well for a larger hand. I wore latex gloves under them for double protection. I also wore a zipped up fleece over my clothes and had something to kneel on, to shake off as I crept along, so as not to pick up any stray steel fibers. Glasses too! I used an empty garbage can to pull apart my version of "perforated" steel fabric over, as advised. Despite all the protection, one of those steel wiry bits made it through my clothes and wove itself into the front of my bra! Yikes! I shook my jacket off before coming inside and brushed off my jeans. Just a friendly warning to be super careful handling this. If it's this tough, I'm guessing the mice will absolutely hate it. Let's hope so. If I got all the areas where the little vermin were getting into the house, then I believe Xcluder is the ticket. We shall see. I honestly doubt a mouse could get past or through it. It is rather expensive and I ended up buying, and almost used up, an extra 4" X 10' roll. I'm sure these two purchases were far less expensive than hiring a company to "mouse-proof" the house. The downside is crawling around on your hands and knees to to the job yourself.

Not exactly high grade stainless
Bought this as bug and rodent deterent for filling holes on my screened in porch after three or four tires with regular steel wool. After a year: Well, definitely better than household steel wool, but not exactly rustproof grade stainless. After about a year it has started to rust.

I’m beyond impressed with the Xcluder Rodent Control Fill Fabric..! We tried traps, glue sticks, and plug-in devices with little success, but this actually stopped rodents from getting in and spoiling my food items. It took maybe 20 minutes to install and solved a problem we’ve had for months. No more scratching or surprise visitors. Definitely a 5-star product..😊😊😊

Me funcionó totalmente. Recomiendo sí utilizar los guantes ya que corta y, si es posible, un cubrebocas porque vuela un polvito finito de acero que más vale prevenir 10/10

The item did not come in its advertised packaging but loose with the front cover alone within the delivery packet included separately. How do I even know that the content was the genuine content belonging to the original product, and not a cheaper product of lesser quality?

Bought this based off the reviews, after looking at many other products. Works great, had a very big issue with rodents last winter. Have taken preventative measures this year using this and have not issues this year so far!
