Is the image straight or does this camera have a fisheye effect?

This plug and play webcam has a prominent curved or fisheye effect, that gets more pronounced further from the centre. I have a straight shelf behind me, as well as 2 pictures on the wall. The pictures become warped and the shelf looks like a semi-circle. The image quality is also surprisingly poor - it seems overexposed, harsh and cold, even when using a warm-toned led light ring (it simply compensates for this). The built-in HD webcam of my 7-year old Acer is better, as it does not distort and produces a sharper, warmer image. The webcam I received is not the same as the one shown - mine has a different bezel and has no manual focus (it has a fixed focus). The model number does correspond to the stated model number. I am returning this item, as the quality is underwhelming.

I have installed the camera and it works. But I can’t set it to be the default and the instructions and photos are on such a tiny but of paper . help

I find that if the Webcam is connected to a PC/laptop USB prior to connecting to the computer, it automatically sets it as the default. I use WebEx and the WebCam auto connects when I join meetings. A suggestion if you cannot read the small print, take a photo with your phone and expand the photo!

Is this compatible with Whatsapp for video calls?

Not used what’s app video. I use mine on Zoom meetings using desk top as that has no camera. Image quality is very good by the way.

does this have bluetooth connectivity?

It has a USB connector. I am not aware of any Bluetooth capability. It is a very good wide angle camera.
