Great polish
Strange that this product is not readily found in a big city and was easier to find online. I used it after sanding-down a guitar neck to give it a natural polish and shine. Easy to use and works as described.

Tru-oil created a nice coating! Easy to use.
I let it cure 24 hours between coats, burnished with 6000 to 12000 grit foam pads between coats. 9 coats starts to really shine. That is where I stopped. I used a very thin coat and wipe excess off immediately. I probably put more on the rag than the guitar! Patience is key. I am not an expert coater. I like wiping finishes like Tru-oil or Tung oil. Tru-Oil on Maple was clear. I expect maple to darken as my kitchen cabinets did. The Bubinga really looks nice with a deep luster. As I recall, Tung Oil leaves a yellow hue. I was surprised that Tru-Oil didn't, as it states. I would use this again. From what I read, it won't store well once opened. I had one small bottle and did a Stratocaster guitar neck and two cigar box 25" necks. It is nearly empty. I did spill a little.

Works if you know what you're doing!
It's not that user friendly but it does work if it's your first time I would be cautious or at least watch some videos on YouTube it does dry quick does leave her the glare of coding and it is cheap

Better Than I Honestly Expected
Usually costlier is better, or so we think, right? After deciding to refinish a Hawken muzzleloader I'd built from a kit many years ago, I tried another finish recommended on an online muzzleloading forum but wasn't crazy about the results. I had some Tru-Oil on the shelf that I'd purchased some time back for kit pistol (which I still haven't built!) because I knew I wouldn't need much for that project. I tried the Tru-Oil on my rifle stock and was pleasantly surprised by how good it looked. Decided to finish the whole stock with it, and it came out great. I'm always suspicious of five-star reviews and think they must have been paid or received a free product or something, but this isn't one of those. I'm just a guy really happy to find an affordable product you can buy almost anywhere that works really well. Sometimes you're just paying for the name, or for the expectation that pricier must be better (Think Orvis, for example.) Happy discovery. The Birchwood Casey wax, on the other hand, was a disappointment, But I digress.

Tru-Oil gun stock finish is not just for gun stocks. I have redone the pommel of a walking stick. The results were phenomenal. This product produces a nice glossy finish. I even tried it on another wooden cane with the same beautiful rich finish. All this without the sticky feeling that you get when it's humid outside.
