RUNCCI-YUN 5.5 x 2.1 MM 10A DC Power Jack Socket with Mount Connector Adapter, Female Panel Mount Socket with Cable & Barrel Jack Plug

Wanted these for the sockets primarily, but to have the plugs is a bonus. Nicely constructed panel mount sockets, which you secure from the inside, I've been looking for ones that can be secured from the outside, which would mean that I could complete the wiring of my project without worrying about feeding any cables through the front panelling, which I often forget to do, and end up having to resolder. These were the only ones I could find, so to recap, you have to feed the leads through the panel first, then secure on the inside. The sockets themselves have an ample amount of screw thread, so can be used on panels with a thickness of about 4mn, which is rare to find.

I used these to make up a power distribution box to feed some Tapo wifi cameras, So one socket for power in from a 2 amp 9 volt DC PSU, then 3 sockets out to the cameras, and made up custom length power leads with a jack plug on each end. Much better than finding room to plug in 3 x 9 volt PSU's... one for each camera, and then cable tying the wires out of sight, but meaning i need to cut the cable ties when i move the items the cameras are mounted on.

It's been a year since I ordered these and they have remained in their packet in my stock, until today when I went to use a couple. On opening the pack, I discovered that two of the male connector sets were missing their actual connectors and just had their plastic shrouds. Obviously, I cannot return these now as the date for doing so has passed. However, on this project, I actually need five, so I am going to have to purchase another pack of these. Please check your items on receipt, not until it's too late.
