Easy to Use and Work Great For Price!
I was skeptical as there are always people who give bad reviews. But I was also desperate. I live in the country so occasional mice are an issue but this seems to be an infestation larger than normal. Poison wasn't working - probably poisoning one mouse but not the batch. I liked the look of these for easy set up and because they were re-usable. The traps came this afternoon. I only set up 2 of the 6 from the pack. Super easy. Within one hour of setting it up (while I was sitting in the same room!) the trap went off and I had my first mouse. Disposed of it in 2 seconds and took another 2 seconds to re-set the same trap. I didn't even need to rebait it. Within another hour and a half (still sitting in same room) I had my second mouse (same trap). These do the job and even if they do konk out after a few uses it will be worth the money as they are cheap for the price. One note - I used a VERY tiny amount of peanut butter (like half a pinky nail in size and put it down deep in the bait bowl. Don't pile it up or use a lot as it gives the mouse the ability to possibly eat and retreat without setting anything off. By putting it down in the cup he has to reach his head in there for it. Likewise, don't avoid the cup and put it back further in the trap....the bait bowl seems designed to make sure their neck is in line when it closes. If you put the bait too far back in the trap you may not catch its neck so use as directed, I will definitely buy these again if I need them!!!! Update - still working great. Still using same 2 traps. 4 mice caught so far by these traps (3 in one trap, 1 in another) and I haven't had to re-bait either trap yet. I don't know why I wasn't using these all along so much faster and more effective than poison! Update 4/16 - 1 year later and still going GREAT! I have still only used 2 traps out of the entire pack. The springs are still working fantastic and they are just as lethal as when I bought them a year ago so WELL worth the price!!! They continue to work after more than a year, and I still have spares if/when I need them. There is no blood or mess so the traps don't get gross. This is a clean kill to the skull or neck. I just toss the dead mice out and reset - and occasionally refill the little bait cup with fresh peanut butter. If these are not working for you then you are not setting them in the right place. I have two different types of mice getting in because I'm in the country. Normal "house" mice and lighter brown field mice. These traps have long since exterminated the regular house mice so they worked to get rid of this type 100%....but then I started getting field mice. I think they found a way into my sunroom from the outside wall. At any rate. At first, the traps would not catch them, and were even going off at times w/o catching anything. The trap would be snapped closed - but no mouse. I quickly realized these new mice were coming and going in a different part of the room. The place I had set the traps that worked on the house mice was not ideal anymore because the paths they were moving along were different. So I moved the traps to where I saw and heard the activity. Now these same two traps are catching field mice like gangbusters. I went from catching 2 mice a day to every other day to now only once every 1-2 weeks so I am sure I'm getting this infestation under control as well. If you know you have mice but are not catching anything try these tips: 1. Put the trap against something like a box or a baseboard so that it is parallel to that object. Do not set them out in the open. Mice like to keep to the walls for safety and feel exposed if they are in the open. The traps that do best for me are always the ones where the trap is set right against a vertical surface like a wall or a box so that the mice encounter it while running along their "safe" paths. 2. If the traps keep going off but you are not catching anything there are two possibilities. One - you have rats not mice and the traps are too small. Two - they are not getting far enough into the trap and are able to jump free when it triggers. One solution to try is to only put a tiny bit of peanut butter way down inside the bait cup rather than over-filling the cup with a huge hunk of peanut butter. Using less makes them have to reach further in to get the bait. Less is more. Also...remember to refresh the peanut butter occasionally. It gets dry and crumbly and fresh stuff works best. My mice don't last long enough to eat the bait so I eventually have to clean out the crusty peanut butter and put in new stuff. Then the traps start catching mice again. 3. TIP: Remove all sources of food from the area or put it in plastic bins. I figured out what caused my two infestations. I had a bag of granola bars that had fallen behind something and was attracting them. Even if food is in a bag like pretzels etc...they can still smell it and will keep coming back.

They do work!
I do so much amazon shopping I thought i'd write a review. I bought these because I had a rodent issue (obviously) that I ignored or refused to believe was happening for way to long. Pest Control companies quoted me$300-$400 to lay some traps and 600$+ to seal up any openings they may be coming into my home. I thought I needed this help because the notion of doing the trapping deed myself was frightening. Apparently, I love my hard earned money more. I hired a handy gal to seal up the roof and laid traps. I knew where they were frequenting due to some signs I'll spare you from. The first day, I used the small poison pellets and bait, and I noticed the traps no longer had bait, but hadn't sprung. I thought, that sucks, how are they stealing the bait? I believe my infestation was a small family of younger juvenile rats. They are smaller in size and almost mistakeable for mouse. So the next day, I set with Peanut butter. One trap caught 2 of them. I wonder if it wasn't enough weight to spring with just one small one. Either way, they do work. I threw it away because I didn't want to touch it, and for 19.99 for 6 if I run out I'll just buy more. Easy to set, worked for me within 2 days, and seemed to kill on contact. I do feel a little sad, but they should not be in the house. I will continue to use until the problem resolves and buy more if i need to. Use peanut butter and set in high traffice places. Easy to set. Seems very sensitive to spring. Sparing you pictures of the kill.

These traps are a fantastic deal
Update: The same trap has now caught 3 mice. I have 7 traps in reserve. I think it's starting to wear out, but I can't complain. A little over $8 for this multi pack of traps is a bargain. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye in my garage. Having already found a dead mouse in my outside garbage can, I erred on the side of caution and started looking for a "better mouse trap". I found this product. I'm very happy with it. GREAT price, and it is indeed easy to use, remove, and clean. For those of you who have had to deal with the old school mouse traps where you're more likely to catch your finger than you are a mouse, you will LOVE these. The bait container comes out super easily. Put some peanut butter in and it goes back in just as easily. I do recommend peanut butter. I love it, and so do mice. You can bait the trap without having to set it. It's an isolated item that never has the potential to trigger the trap by accident. You place it via access in the bottom of the trap. Placing the trap in an out of the way area so no pets accidentally get caught in it is easy too. Your fingers are completely safe while doing so unless you're careless. Setting the trap could not be easier. You just press down gently on the back, and it's done in 1 second flat. No trying to balance that little trigger with the bait on it and hope you don't smash a finger like you had to do with the old fashioned mouse traps of the past. After having placed the trap, the very next day, I was rewarded with a mouse having sprung the trap. Getting rid of the carcass was as easy as can be. I walked out into the woods, pressed on the back of the trap, and the mouse was easily disposed of. I've heard the phrase "invent a better mouse trap" used derogatorily over the years because, generally speaking, a lot of the new designs have failed miserably. This truly is "a better mouse trap". For those who prefer capture and release traps, this ain't it. Well, I released the mouse, but it was oblivious to the fact, having departed this mortal realm. Cheap, easy to use and effective. That's a rarity these days. I can't recommend these enough. For those who think I'm a callous, hard-hearted human, nothing could be further from the truth. I have a black snake that lives in my yard year round. I welcome him as I'm sure the snake eats many pesky rodents such as mice and voles. It's one snake and so many rodents. I had to lend a helping hand! I am a live and let live kind of guy, but if a varmint decides it wants to invade the sanctity of my home, all bets are off. Don't forget. Rodents are what caused the bubonic plague that killed so many people back in the day.

A better mousetrap? So far, seems so.
History I don't know how they keep getting in, but our shed has become the front lines in a war against the mice. The battle has waged for several years and just when I think the tide has turned, the enemy surfaces yet again. We've tried various traps over the years with varying levels of success. Some of the more recent plastic snap traps have been pretty successful, however they have had a tendency to be quite fragile requiring constant purchases, are messy to setup and are sometimes tricky to set requiring pulling back a bar. Feeke traps Enter the Feeke traps. We took a chance on these traps after looking at the design differences. We appreciated the design and liked the easy to open jaw that didn't require the bar and latch method. We also appreciated that the bait cup can be access from below the trap, making setup easier. The size seemed perfect for our need, which is catching field mice. Would these new traps be successful? Results The traps were easy and fast to set up. We simply unscrewed the bait cup, loaded it with a bit of peanut butter, placed the cup back, squeezed the jaws open until they latched and placed it along a path or wall until the enemy appeared. So far the traps have worked amazingly. In all cases, the mice were killed instantly on their neck. We don't use them outdoors but for indoor use they've held up well. We've had a couple over several catches be difficult to latch again but nearly all, we simply shook out the dead mouse and reset the trap. They've required little cleaning. I only knocked off a star due to the couple of traps not latching after several uses. Overall after a year or so of use this is my preferred trap of those we have tried. Plusses + Easy to use and latch, just squeeze open + Bait cup that is removable + No fiddling with bars to open + Easy to release dead mouse, separates good separation of hands from mice + Good size for field mice + All kill shots for me Minuses - If you need to clean the individual parts I could see it being a bit cumbersome - A couple of our traps over several uses stopped latching or were difficult to latch. One had a broken latch mechanism. - Bit pricey for what they are

Great trap, easy and safe to use
Easy to set up and bait. Kills them dead and makes it easy to get rid of remains. No chance of misfire like old wire types. Great innovation !

They worked great!
I bought this kind for the ease of setting and emptying the trap. My husband stuck his finger in it and said it was not very strong when it snapped and didn't think it would work. I set them and over a weeks time, caught 7 mince, gross. They worked great!

Worked in less than 24 hours
These traps are great. They function well and the way to load bait is really easy and clean. In less than 24 hours I had a catch. Really impressed that there was no mess or blood or anything. I would have given these five stars but after I started putting the traps out I found one of the “brand new” traps has clearly been used as there was leftover bait in it and the bait part was stuck because of it. Of all the things to get used, a mouse trap is DEFINITELY not it. Really disappointed with that and the idea that I handled used traps without knowing it and thinking they were new. That said they do work great and since I had already set some out I wasn’t going to return them.

Mouse trap
This is a nice mouse trap. I like how the bait is hidden just enough to attract the mouse and they can never get to it. The issue that I have with it is the sensitivity of the lever. The lever needs to be more reactive. Then the spring that's in it needs to be a little stronger. I've caught 4 mice with these, but one got away. They are effective at what they do. The trap is very easy to use. With mine I just empty and reuse. I do like them, I just hope they make some adjustments to it.
