360° HD Video Camera

Even though I purchased the HD vs. the 4K, the camera suits what I will use it for perfectly. I am an educator and consultant in the field of rescue training and with just a little tinkering so far has given me a new way to create video for students. Plus I will be using it for autocross and rallycross so I can't wait to share clips of my runs! Very simple and straightforward to use and record I will highly recommend this action camera to my friends and family!

This is without a doubt the most frustrating and unusable camera I've ever made the mistake of buying. The android app only works for minutes at a time, and CANNOT download any videos without timing out. The app barely works well enough to start the recordings. The iPad app can actually download every now and then, but then fails to do anything with the file and actively prevents me from transferring the file to any other location or device. The camera itself seems to work decently, until it doesnt when I have to factory reset it. Which causes complete loss of video since the apps cannot download anything. And the support is worse than a joke. The FAQ is an after thought and you cannot leave even thumbs up/down feedback on it without registering and providing the company with ALL of your info. I'm throwing this away as soon as I finish typing this review.

Bought this well after it was released, I'm sure there were better options but not many at this price. The unit is cool looking, and well designed. However, the video quality is very low, close to unusable. The battery didn't seem to last all that long either, at least compared to a similarly priced Samsung of the same vintage. Overall, if they have a brand new edition at a higher res it might be good, but this one isn't really worth all that much. If you get one for free it would be fun to play with, and the design might make for a good scifi prop, but otherwise I'd look for other options at a similar price even if they were made around the same time.

This review is to let you know it still works but on a very limited platform. The app created by 360fly is no longer on the Apple store or available for the PC. Also I haven't found a way to connect the cam to the pc directly via USB. So you'll need a compatible android to be able to use this camera. The 360fly app is still available on the Google play store. I'm using it on my Samsung S21 Ultra. Took a few tries to connect. This was sitting in a closet for about a year and finally decided to play with it. For $80 its worth it compared to the next level up on a 360 cam for a few hundred dollars. You'll find that if you want to upload to youtube or social media you'll need to add meta tags to it. Thats a small piece of software that tells the media player this is a 360 video and plays it accordingly...in a nutshell. There was software to make this easy but the support for all that is gone with as the company disappeared a long time ago. So you have to find your own way. I get the impression that this is the norm with other 360 cam videos or I'd see more content readily available. Just one of those things you have to take time to learn. I'm using Magix movie editor pro. The software supports 360 video editing and will allow me to add meta tags. Will update when successful. For now still a project.

This video camera is a nice toy, producing a 360 degree video view horizontally and 270 degrees top to bottom, It leaves a hole in the bottom view, unlike some more expensive cameras that have two fish-eye lenses instead of one. It takes a little getting used to the one button which you first have to hold down for four seconds to activate, then press again to record, and press again to stop. If you want to stay out of the way of the field of view, you need to configure a selfie stick to attach to an adapter for the camera. You also need to be careful not to get your fingers in the way of the lens. They have an adapter that can connect the camera to a flat surface and another that can connect to a helmet. The software that comes with it is a little limited. I am going to see if I can edit the resulting video in Adobe Premiere so I can remove the spots that I don't want. It is also important to keep the lens free from fingerprints and dirt. It is also possible to record under water, but I didn't try that. You can use Google Cardboard to view the results through your cell phone or the more expensive Oculus Rift goggles. It makes for an interesting experience.

What this camera after years of seeing it at Best Buy. With everything that’s out there today this thing mounted on my bicycle handlebars still feels some incredible video. It’s not a true 360° of viewable video given the fact that the lens has a 204° field of vision, but for the price I paid, which was like $110 from Amazon warehouse deals, I can’t complain!

Totally agree with DREADON: Can't believe I was hoping for something that did not have any issues...I have a Google Nexus 5X and the App totally froze my phone... Had to turn off and then on...deleted the 360FLY immeidiately. RETURNING IMMEDIATELY: 1.0 out of 5 starsVideo quality is terrible. And to top it off it has stopped ... ByBox of Dreadon June 8, 2016 Size: --|Color: -- Nothing but problems. Firmware repeatedly bricked the camera and never successfully completed. Still unable to update firmware over WiFi. The unit must be hooked directly to a PC to install firmware. The app does not properly connect to the camera, have to go into Settings and manually cycle the WiFi connection off and back on again before the camera shows up properly in the app. Video quality is terrible. And to top it off it has stopped capturing video entirely now.

High quality, simple and durable 360 camera.The best camera for extreme sports, proofed itself on my last mtb trip to Colorado and Utah.

Came in good condition and works nicely.

Buyer Beware! This 360 camera works perfectly, however, the company no longer exists and therefore, you can't download the phone app! You can still download the PC program to edit videos from the 360 camera! The phone app requires to login but the website no longer exists! The 360 camera can still record but requires the PC program to edit. You can also edit video via program to make a captured image! This camera will still work you just can review the video until you connect to your PC!

Camera does not work. No online support.

The app is no longer available so it is basically an expensive paperweight.

Haven't used it too much yet but it's exactly what I thought was going to be so I am happy with it - and it's a great price.
