Now, I've upgraded all of the speakers on my Ford Explorer Limited 2013. I did not want to replace the head unit to an aftermarket nor did I want to change the amp.... What I wanted was to utilize the factory amp because it really is a good amp that is completely underutilized with the OEM speakers. My car has the upgraded premium 10 speaker upgrade. Which has a higher wattage amp. I knew the route I wanted to take. A friend of mine who also has an explorer bought very expensive speakers for his 2016 Limited and it sounds horrible, so trust me when I say the most expensive speakers will not always be the best. I bought these components for the rear, yes, the rear doesn't have a tweeter hole, as the OEM speakers are coaxials. However, I only wanted these for the mid bass not for the tweeters. I also bought the component 6x9, and also used those for mid bass and did not use the tweeters. Reason why I didn't use the tweeters is because these tweeters although better than OEM, really don't offer great clarity. But to each is own. What I also did was I bought Infinity reference 3.5 speakers for the dash and rear pillars, because those come with amazing tweeters attached that will open the sound clarity completely. I then bought Infinity reference tweeters for the front and let me tell you, the sound is completely magical. There are reviews that the bass is weak, trust me it is not, you can turn up the bass with these because they can handle it unlike the OEM speakers. These look 100 percent better than the oems! there bass range is far superior than the oems. With the set up I mentioned above, you will have a completely upgraded system, also soundproof the doors for even stronger improved sound. The difference in sound is completely better and you will thank me later. People will think you spent 1000's of dollars on this upgrade when in truth you spent less than $500 for all of the speaker minus the subwoofer. These are great speakers for the price and for the fact that they are plug and play, you cannot go wrong with this upgrade.

I installed these in a 2023 Maverick. Harnesses are a direct fit, zero splicing required. Sound quality is definitely improved. I installed these (mids for the doors and the tweeters for the dash) in a couple hours. Most of that was figuring out how to put door panel back on properly. Second side was much faster than first side. Tips for Maverick installs: roll windows down before beginning. Window down all the way makes door panel install MUCH easier. The foam around the speaker doesn’t need to be trimmed, but it sure helps. The foam is rather thick and takes some force to get bottom screws of door panel back in. I trimmed about 1/8” off (of the depth/height) for the second side and door panel snapped back on without a single issue, no force required. A week later I added a powered 10” hideaway subwoofer under the rear seat, which together with these, makes a dramatic improvement to overall stereo enjoyment.

Installed in the front doors of a ‘16 fusion with the 8 speaker non-Sony along with some Kilmat in the door cavities. Literally plug and play into the stock speaker harnesses. No speaker adapters or messing with wiring. Even the tweeters fit perfectly. What a difference from the stock speakers! Clarity and full sound! Night and day from the stock speakers. Build quality is good too. I’m very impressed for the price. Picking up another set for the rear doors soon. Ps- do yourself a favor and get some kilmat 80mil for the door cavity behind the speaker. Not too expensive and makes a big difference in fullness of the sound and road noise also.

Do not buy. These sounded ok when installed but within two months one of the speakers has a gnarly buzz and it sounds like the other is one going out now. Tried customer service multiple times before posting this review and no one would respond after two weeks.

Fit my 2019 Ford Ranger exactly as expected. Tweeters require some care to swap without damaging the tabs in the trim panel. The wiring connector on the woofer is tight and you have to push harder than you might expect to lock it in. Test before you put the door panel back on. Sound wise, they are good. Mids and highs are much clearer. Seems like less bass than stock, but what is there is better. This may show up more because of the DSP Ford programmed into the vehicle to protect the stock speakers by rolling off the bass above mid volume. We'll see if there's any diffetence when I get a chance to disable it. Biggest dislike I have for speakers designed as stock tlreplacemwnt is that these require a bit higher volume to get the same sound. Not unusual for aftermarket speakers. I'd assume it's related to the sensitivity rating of 88db. I'd rather see something in the low 90's. All in all, I'm happy with these and the install convenience makes them a good value.
