Comfy and breathable. Maybe order a size down, theyre a bit baggy but Im gonna keep em bc they're drawstrings. Overall tho, i LOVE them. Pockets are huge, and the little ventilation slits work wonderfully if you have fans around your kitchen. The stretch on them is good both around the waist and also near knees if you bend alot. Good value for the price

I purchased a pair of these chef pants in April 2021. It's currently July of 2022. I work 6-7 days a week as a cook. These pants are just flat out amazing. They have held up for over a year of almost daily use and daily washing, color is still solid after a year (only a few minor bleach stains from work). Only within the last month have I noticed some holes forming in the side pockets. I plan on taking them to a tailor and having them mended, but I'm also gonna buy another pair as a backup.They are beyond comfortable. Extremely cool in hot weather/kitchen and relatively warm in cool to cold weather, very breathable and slightly baggy but looks great. I originally bought a pair of XL, but they were way too big. The large fits just right, I'm 6'0, 185lbs. I could possibly even go with Medium, but I think the Large is just fine.If you are a cook or chef or work in the service industry, just do yourself a favor and buy a pair of these. You won't regret it, worth every penny.

I work in a busy brunch kitchen in SWFL, and the heat gets so tough outside here that the A/C has never been able to keep up. I spend 8 hours in 90-120 degree weather daily surrounded by grills and ovens with a few fans for airflow, so needless to say I was looking for anything that would make that easier. I used to wear 100% cotton pants to work so I have very clear before/after results.These pants fit comfortably! The waist is comfortable, drawstring-adjustable, and pretty unnoticeable with the easy elasticity. I am 5'10" and I got these when I was 193lbs at a 38 waist size, and the Large waist was too tight on me. The XL fit much better- all that kitchen sweating and my occasional gym trips unintentionally brought me to 184lbs at a 36 waist and they still fit great! The leg room is very welcome, the thin fabric doesn't hug my skin at all when standing and does not get pasty with sweat. The vents are life saving. I have a floor fan beside me at my station and can feel the wind easily through them, and they generally help with airflow very well; My legs don't suffocate in the heat and my sweat flows freely.The only reason I gave them 4 starts is because there is practically zero stretch regarding versatile movement- they will trap at the knees when I bend down and pull taught. I quickly tug them up with my hands to give my knees room during and squatting, but that is not possible when handling large baking pans and such. They feel a bit taught when sitting. I have sensory issues so I am sensitive to these sorts of things- but they are quite uncomfortable when squatting or bending low. This is tolerable because of the rest of its good properties.I discovered that it dries unbelievably fast- I have gotten these entirely soaked with water and could step into my car completely dry within about 10 minutes (gotta love when accidents happen right before leaving). No matter what food industry grime I've gotten on these pants, they look new after every wash. I wash these frequently with the heaviest soil and spin cycle, and the quality has stood true.Overall, these pants have been a great purchase and I am saving up for a second pair- they are a bit pricey in my opinion but have served me well. The vents are essential, fan or not, and I don't even notice I have these on until I am bending. They are strong pants for being a bit thin (which is also a plus). I have not tried on any other chef pants I should mention, so I recommend these unless there's an easier moving pair of vented pants out there.

These pants are Amazing, they repel water and stains, they are comfortable and light, they breath better than any other chef pants EVER I have tried in 20 years of being a Chef. That includes other topline Chefwear pants. They are not overly formal dress style that lacks functionality and certainly not that sloppy baggy look wear pockets are hanging and swinging as you move quickly on the line. So many cheaper options online turn out to be defectively shaped and awkward like someone made cheap pants out of an old potato sack cloth, ( except they are not as durable as a old potato sack. ).I had to write to say that I work doubles and during the break I practice tennis for exercise. I actually have played a match during the break in these pants on a sunny day and felt as good as I do in shorts. Imagine, outside in Black Chef Pants on a Sunny day winning a 2 set tennis match? The pants cool and clean except for a little clay dust at ankles that quickly wiped off, Unbelievable, right?Chefwear, I would love another pair or 2 and hope you never discontinue this style and design, sincerely Blackbeltkitchen

I've bought 5 pairs of these.The first two were very light weight, thin, and not too tight around the waste.The last 3 pairs I ordered were a thicker material and the elastic around the waste is extremely tight.
