My husband and I love this book. We got it for our son in a bookstore and were blown away by the message it shares about the wide varieties of families in our world. The pictures are really cute and our 19 month old has loved listening to and looking at this book quite often. We actually bought this copy for a gift for a friend’s child because we love it so much.

Cute story book
The is a very easy read and it's not complicated in explanation of different families. Very cute and a easy way to introduce kids to all types of families. I got this book because my grandkids asked what a step dad was, and why some kids don't have a mom or dad. Simple book.

Got this for my partner’s toddler to introduce her to the idea that not all families are the same. It’s such a fun and simple book that it immediately became her favorite book to take on car rides.

Casually inclusive and so sweet
I love that this book is inclusive yet casually so, teaching children seamlessly that every family is different and every family is good. I got this book after my son was confused about his new friend having 2 daddies, and he had lots of questions throughout the book. My favorite was when he asked me to further explain adoption to him! This book will definitely open your child's eyes to all types of families.

Es gibt viele tolle Bücher über die Diversität von Familienformen, aber meines Wissens wenige für die ganz Kleinen. Das ist eine tolle Ausnahme von der Autorin von 'Jim ist mies drauf'. Leider nicht auf Deutsch, so dass beim Vorlesen der Rhythmus durch die Reime fehlt. Trotzdem empfehlenswert um von Anfang mehr Vielfalt als Mutter-Vater-Kind zu vermitteln, so dass sich Kinder in anderen Konstellationen sich nicht als Abweichung zur Norm begreifen.

Looked the book this was bought for a pre-school, excellent pictures and cute animals. Made me smile when reading it . A must have explaining different families.. ie two dads, step sister’s etc...

Great book with rhyming showcasing all different kinds of families using animals. Solo parents, grandparents, blended families, only child, have a pet or plant. This is a book I will buy for every child. It's very cute and highly recommend it
