Best coffee ever!
I like the ceramic. I would think that perhaps stainless steel might impart undesired tastes, but can't say for sure. This produces the best coffee I've ever made at home, and I'm picky. I hand grind my beans just before brewing, and formerly used a one-cup Bunn MCU Brewer, which was great, but this is fantastic. LESSON LEARNED: I was surprised at how S-L-O-W the coffee drained into the cup until I happened to look at the rinsed filter just before adding the coffee. The bottom seam of the paper filter, which is two layers of the paper, just like the side seam, was sitting directly over the three drain holes in the pour over. This was impeding the flow. The solution was to follow to the directions (that's a first) on the Melitta box to fold over the bottom and side seams before placing in the pour over. Position the filter so that only a single thickness of the paper covers the three bottom drain holes. Use a little water to help it stay in place before rinsing and then brewing. Be sure to rinse each filter in-place in the pour over with brewing temperature water before you brew. If you drain that into your coffee cup, and not the sink, also rinse your cup afterwards to remove any off flavors that result from this rinsing. Take 2-3 minutes to pour the water in during brewing. Don't dump in as much as the pour over can hold and wait. This is a slow process if you want to the best coffee. You can read more about encouraging the "bloom" during brewing on the Web. I've had coffee brewed by every conceivable method. If I'm at a coffee shop that offers pour over I always ask for that since it was so much better. Now brewing that at home with this and it's delicious.

Clean Tasting Coffee
This is a great system if you’re making a single serving. It is sturdy and sits well over my favorite large mug. Its use resulted in the best cup of coffee I’ve had in a long time. My suggestion would be to use a gooseneck kettle to boil the water so that you can get a slow pour over the coffee grounds.

Favorite coffee for years!
I have used mine to make drip coffee for 6 years now. I just keep going back to it even after trying keurigs etc. easy to wash and simple and cute in the kitchen. So happy to the mine after all this time I was just checking to see if they have different colors (like pink) and thought I’d leave a review 😂 highly recommend!

Pour over coffee brewer
A person needs to hold this on top of their cup while brewing coffee as it is not steady or secure. However, it works as described and makes a wonderful cup of coffee.

Perfect for those who like strong coffee.
This is super easy to use. It comes with a box of filters so you will be ready to go when you open the box, and you will know what filters to buy later. It’s also a whole box and not loose filters. Super easy to clean. The ceramic is durable and thick enough to feel substantial and not worry about breaking. It fits on a variety of sized mugs. Have used it on my 8oz, 12oz, 16oz, and 20oz mugs. Can also use it on my 1 cup measuring cup when I am making iced coffee. Will also fit on top of my 40oz insulated tumbler. I started out with the plastic one hole pour over cone, and loved the stronger flavor. I was disappointed when I saw this had 3 holes, but the coffee drains about the same rate as with the one hole model and the flavor is still rich and bold. This process takes longer than Keurig, but about the same time as a traditional drip, but with much better results. Liked it so much that I bought a second one for my mother. Makes for a bolder flavor coffee for iced coffee.

Large base
It's very nice, although its base is almost too big to fit on my Yeti mug.

Simply Charmed Ceramice Pour Over Coffee Maker Has Charmed Me.
Have tried other pour over systems. This one is the simplest to use and produces great results. I like that it is ceramic so there is no "metal" taste from brewing. I brew dark roast medium grind coffee. Two tablespoons of coffee for 12 ounces of water. I use a #4 filter as it extends over the rim of the Ceramic Maker. Insert the filter in the ceramic cup, run hot tap water over the filter, then add the coffee. Boil the water, let it sit a few seconds, then pour it slowly over the grounds in a slow, circular motion. This make a strong brew. Adjust the amount of coffee for your preference.
