They delivered on Sunday!! I thought they were setting themselves up for failure, I ordered late Friday night when I saw a promise to deliver Sunday. Got it before 11am Sunday, tested it on my heating system and a friends, worked great. Tried it out Monday on a high pressure dust collector fan, it ran at 8,500 cfm, worked like a charm. I will report back, I'm working on a system with collector, exhaust and recirculation back to building on same fan, so balancing the system will be a good test for the unit. I'll keep ya posted

This review is for the Holdpeak 846A anemometer. Arrived today and everything was in perfect condition. I've read reviews about the fan not spinning properly but in this case it spun easily, even as I lifted it out of the case.I guess it's all about QC and China hasn't gotten the word quite yet.I also read somewhere that you can't figure CFM with this but that's not true. You can figure CFM and the instructions that came with it explain how to do this.I looked for a minute or two for the arrow showing air direction and if I had read the instructions first, I would have saved a minute and seen that the airflow direction arrow is actually on the inside of the fan shroud on top.All in all I really like this unit. I'm going to use it to check the airflow on my ducts as I'm getting ready to replace my furnace and would like to dial in the airflow with my manometer and anemometer as closely as possible on both heating and cooling cycles. Hopefully it will last awhile before giving me any problems but time will tell.

like a few others stated the temp can be kinda...well LOTS OFF...it was 21 degrees here a few nights ago....tested it with this one and temp showed like 348 degrees....everything else seems ok...

Bought this to balance all my vents in the house. Easy to use and helped me discover how bad the flow was in my HVAC system.

Seemed decent at first. Then I got a new turbo blower duster that hit 30 m/s before the fins completely shattered and went everywhere. I guess that means the turbo blower is good...but now no more reading wind speed!! If this is for natural wind outside, I'm sure it's great. Want to push it to its limit with powerful artificial wind? Not so great. Return window is closed, now I'm out the money I spent. Thats life

Once you understand how to use the buttons it’s easy to use. Bought it to balance air flow in my HVAC system.

The meter didn't power on when it arrived. I put in new batteries and read through the manual, to no avail. When I followed the contact information in an attempt to get assistance, I was told they couldn't find my Amazon order. At this point I just decided to returned it.

Works fine. Has given several erratic measurements out of the box, but mostly just fine. Not able to verify precision of measurements but they seems to be fairly accurate at least. Fan blade can wiggle in housing and if held in certain ways, it can affect how hard it is to turn the blades. The USB to computer communication is lacking. I was not able to get it to function. The manual is sparse on the subject and poorly translated. There was supposed to be some selection i could make but nothing seemed to bring up anything close.Good display, good response time of all measurements, many measurements and units. All for a good price. You get what you pay for but with this you get a fair variety. I also had the non-USB version prior (which was defective) and I upgraded to this one. I would buy the non-USB version and just record data manually again, unless I was made certain it was just a problem between the driver's seat and the steering wheel in trying to get the data recorder functions working.

Item works and was a pleasure to use. a great value compared to other manufactures. will be buying from Holdpeak again.

Accurate and well worth the investment ... quick to respond to any changes in wind velocity and offers a bit of comfort knowing the wind that is affecting your flying site 👌🏻

We live in a very windy area of central BC, Canada with no official wind station to tell us the wind speeds, so we decided to do our own measurements. This anemometer works very well, is durable and is easy to use, with easy-to-follow instructions included. We especially like the separate hand-held velocity sensor (as apposed to the all-in-one type) as it is easier to watch the fluctuations of the readings. It measures temperature as well, and the hard-shell carrying case is a plus for protection during transport. We are still in the learning process but would recommend this product.

Product works, seems like a good value for the money
