Review: best version ever - this version of the classic tale is by far the most humourous telling.ok greer garson may be a tad too old for her part but who cares she does it well.it really has some laugh out loud moments in it and really brings the inherent wit of the book alive and loses nothing in being b&w.i really cannot rate this movie too highly (nb although this is a zone 1 if you dont have a multi regional player there ARE sites on the internet that show you how to convert very easily.funnily enough the cheaper the dvd player the easier to do ) Review: CLASSIC FILM - This is the original Pride & Prejudice and although Colin Firth was great as Mr Darcy there is nothing quite like this classic version with Laurence Olivier and Greer Garson. They were two of the greatest actors the world has ever known.Greer was beautiful and Laurence so handsome, they will never be replaced!!

best version ever
this version of the classic tale is by far the most humourous telling.ok greer garson may be a tad too old for her part but who cares she does it well.it really has some laugh out loud moments in it and really brings the inherent wit of the book alive and loses nothing in being b&w.i really cannot rate this movie too highly (nb although this is a zone 1 if you dont have a multi regional player there ARE sites on the internet that show you how to convert very easily.funnily enough the cheaper the dvd player the easier to do )

CLASSIC FILM
This is the original Pride & Prejudice and although Colin Firth was great as Mr Darcy there is nothing quite like this classic version with Laurence Olivier and Greer Garson. They were two of the greatest actors the world has ever known.Greer was beautiful and Laurence so handsome, they will never be replaced!!

Lovely
An amazing film that is a pleasure to watch. I'm in my 30s and think that Olivier and Garson give unbeatable performances (much better than Kiera Knightly)

A beautiful DVD from the 1940s film. There may have been other film versions of this story but I'm sure this is probably one of the best!
