PupPal Pro Retractable Dog Leash - Ribbon Style Leash for Smoother Retraction and Does NOT Burn Skin Handle Design

I mislaid my old retractable leash so immediately went to Amazon to find a replacement. I chose PupPal because of the ribbon design which is very nice. I will say that this leash does not extend quite as far as other styles I've had in the past but that is not a problem - in fact I like the shorter length a little better because it gives me more control. One thing I have noticed is that unlike the string style extension leashes, the ribbon requires a bit more pull from the dog to get it fully extended. I wouldn't have noticed this when my dog was younger and stronger but he's elderly and has lost some stability and strength in his hind legs so it seems to take a bit more effort from him to move against the ribbons slower extension. But overall I think this is a great product!

We take trips to my parents house in the southwest which is full of coyotes, foxes, rattlesnakes, raccoons and other critters including grasshoppers, mice and lizards which Jack is enthralled with. The leash is a good on again off again augment to our hunts (especially around shrubs or stones or tumbleweed where snakes may be hiding).The leash is a fairly common design by now. It seems comparable in price and style to what you'd get at Petco/petsmart, but I will say that the build quality on this is striking. Really good, I don't see any flaws or see it breaking any time soon. The ribbon is also really nice and hasn't frayed yet in almost 2 years of use.

The thumb retracting latch wouldn't work. Small, cheaply made. Used for one dog walk, and each time I tried to un-latch it (pull back the pin with my thumb), it stuck and needed 2 hands to activate. Seemed like a decent leash, except for that. Could've spent another .50 cents on a bigger, more sturdy latch. AND it's only 10 ft. long! It didn't say that in the title...need to read the fine print blow the description. The many others I've bought, and viewed this time, are 16 ft.

I love it. I have a chihuahua and I love that it is a smaller litch for a smaller dog. However, the handle is still a normal size for my hand which I love. Usually the ones for smaller dogs have a small handle that you cannot really hold it fine.Also, I love the fact that you can see the litch in the dark when i walk my baby at night

Didn't even last one year. I bought this as a second leash for home, I forgot his leash once when we went to the park. The leash I still have that stays in my car I've had for years, this is the second dog to use it. It's a Flexi Comfort 1 and you can believe that's what I'm gonna buy now. This PupPal has stopped retracting, I bought it in January 2016 and it's now October 2016. It's crap, don't buy it.

This is one of the more durable retractable leashes I've purchased. For the price I was very pleased. It gives me the ability to allow my little pomapoo some freedom when we go out, but to control the amount of freedom if danger nears. The reviews were very helpful and the product description was spot on. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

This is a great retractable leash, and I like that they don't give you rope burn like some of the other ones. I wish it were a little longer, and that the neon yellow was a little brighter at night. But other than that, it's awesome!
