Not a toy, difficult to play.Takes a lot of practice, but worth it.

What a great find for the money!
Hooked it up to my amplifier and it worked perfectly as advertised. It has been great fun and would recommend to anyone looking for a Theremin.

nice theremin with some design flaws.
I am pretty happy with this theremin. Plenty of range to make it very musical. Very smooth sound. The only issues i have is that it doesn't have a recessed mic stand mount and the power supply is really short and is directly soldered to the circuit. Why? I have to duck tape the power supply to my stand just so it doesn't hang. I don't get it...

It works as advertised
The theremin arrived well packaged and fully functioning out of the box. It took a little bit to get used to, especially adjusting the pitch knob to accurately adjust the play distance. We found an instructional video on Prime Video that walked us through the process. I appreciate that the mic stand mount on the base is removable as this let us easily set the theremin on a table. The only thing that would improve this theremin is greater distance between the antennas. It’s not easy to master but we also didn’t expect it to be. Just like any instrument, it takes practice.

Fun! So much fun!
Great sound, lots of fun. Took me a minute to figure out the mount on the bottom, it didn't go with anything I already had, but it's really a worthwhile purchase

Not As Good As I Expected
I almost gave it the benefit of the doubt and gave it 3, but 2 stars is more fitting. Maybe I expected too much out of a Theremin. I thought I could learn to make something approaching music with this, however it just sounds like an old metal detector.

Overpriced , plastic toy.
Fun to try, cheaply made, and not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend this cheaply designed, plastic Theremin. My daughter likes odd things, and I wasn’t going to spend a lot on something that I knew she would use a few times, and put it aside. $200 isn’t exactly cheap, and this product isn’t worth it. She has a small amplifier, so the sound through that was fun. We had to take the bottom stand support off to keep it level on the playing surface. All-in-all, it works, but WAY overpriced for what you are getting. It’s a “pass” from me, but something else.

Amazing gift
The seniors in band, members of my class bought this for our band director. It was technically his last gift for past traditions. He had always wanted a theremin and would have "killed" for it. This is a great instrument to play with. We hooked up guitar pedals to it and made a lot of different effects. I would recommend this as a gift to all musicians.
