Sprite Industries SL2-BN Slim-Line 2 Universal Shower Filter, Brushed Nickel The "brushed nickel" finish is more like brushed chrome. It doesn't match the Moen brushed nickel finish. I had to add a rubber grommet between this and my showerhead to make the showerhead swivel snug. Without it the fitting leaked big. NOW THE GOOD PART. The chlorine test (DPD1) went to negligible results Meaning the test found no chlorine left. The pH measured at just under 7.0. (I don't know what they mean in the sales stuff about "pH balanced". Does it change the pH? How if it doesn't know what your water pH is?)

Easy install. I’m a bit concerned on durability. Feels a bit flimsy and easy to break when changing filters when needed. So far I’d say it’s worth the money spent.

My skin feels soothed/calmed, smoother, and more comfortable when I used these filters. They are super easy to install and swap out. I use them in every shower I have to reduce chlorine, etc. Since I now have a handheld shower head and can put it down into the tub, I often use this shower filter to run a bath, rather than the bath-ball filters which I find to be messy and inefficient.

I purchased the Sprite Shower filter as a gift to my daughter's household. I purchased one myself back in 2024 at Home Depot, and it changed my life. It is worth the upgrade to my health, wellbeing, and overall showering / cleansing experience. Great quality, efficient filtering system. I felt the difference in water quality shower one. The filter housing has held up nicely for me as well. The filter is really easy to change. Do check the O gasket, though, to make sure it is seated properly every time. Easy visual during a filter change. I love the convenience of Sprite having an Amazon store that I can sub my filter replacements on the recommended schedule without thinking about it. It arrives, and I know it's time.

Install was easy but it did require 2 gaskets on the shower head side since the male threaded end was too short. Everything looked good until it started leaking from inside. I took the thing apart a couple times trying to get the 2 internal o-rings to seal. I even put some plumbers grease on them to help seal but it would eventually leak. Returning this one & going to try one more to see if I just got a bad one. PITA to return since it now has to be dropped at a Staples store or I have to pay to drop it at a UPS. I’ll update this review after the replacement is here. Update-New one showed thanks to Amazon's speedy service. This one leaked worse than the first. My wife wanted to try this filter to see if it would help clean out what little iron that is in our well water. I ended up disassembling the unit. I had a tube of white silicone that I used for plumbing/exterior stuff so I put a little bit on each end of the filter where it seats against the o-ring & put it back together. After I let it dry a while I installed it & no more leaks. If you do this or use the plumber's putty as mentioned else where keep in mind you have to get the unit apart again to change the filter. Basically use just enough to seal the filter to the o-ring but not so much you get it all over the threads have a hard time getting it unscrewed. Don't get me wrong the unit looks nice with the brushed nickel finish & feels well built. Still after both units leaked at the same location that should have been properly sealed at the factory I stand by my rating. The jury is still out on how it functions as a filter but for now at least it's not leaking.

Installed fine but when I measured my water with a TDS meter, the reading went from 270 to 260. So a slight improvement but not as much as I hoped.

I live in a downtown apartment in Midwest, and the city’s water report basically says the water pipes are old and usually leave lead and minerals and sediment in tap water. The water here is hard enough to make it difficult to comb through your long hair with fingers in shower. I stared to pull off lots of hair when rinse off my shampoo, which is not a thing when I was living in Virginia. So I bought all kinds of filters I used back there but they did not help much - they are kinda effective for the first couple weeks out of box, but not afterwards. So far, this one works the best. I can easily comb through my hair when rinsing, even without the aid of hair conditioner (I apply conditioner prior to shampoo to prevent pulling). And after the first shower with this filter, both my super long hair and my bf’s mid long hair air-dried faster than before. Blow-drying became easy as well. I really hope this can last longer than the previous types I bought. I’ll update the review when I am about to get a new filter. Update: I changed my filter 3 months after purchase and the content inside really darkened overtime. I can say it’s a good one and my hair + skin always feels soft after shower. But the second Sprite filter cartridge I bought from Amazon cuts the water flow for about 10-20%, which is noticeable when showering. The filtration still good. Will keep using it and see how will the third cartridge affect the water flow.

Have consistently used it over the years. Super easy to install and instant change in the water quality!

It is one of the best Shower filters I ever bought. It is the 2nd year in a row that I bought this one with no regrets. My first one, I bought in California when I was studying over there and brought it with me to Australia. Before I got the 2nd one (because I didn’t know I could’ve bought through Amazon Australia), I ordered one from a different company and tried to use that one for a month; what a mistake!! My skin was so dry, my feet looked like sandpaper, it was a waste of money. Then, I just ordered this one through Amazon Australia and soon I plugged it in, it worked so well. To get this one, you need to have extra parts to make this to work. It is worth going an extra step to have this filter in your shower. For those wondering how to get it working, Please see the photos with the extra parts I had to buy.
