A must have for the Gimbal
Recently bought this extension for my gimbal. I had purchased the bars(2) last year and don't get me wrong, they work very well. But I was always having to twist them on/off to get to the button on the bottom of the gimbal handle. And having to keep up with the metal pipes and chasing them down when I dropped them was beginning to be a PITA. This stores easily in a pocket and extends in a blink of an eye. I can now get to the button on the bottom with a pinky finger and retract the length in close distance situations. My only wish, was I wish I had found this before I bought the bars! I'm not going to take a star off from my review for there being no wrist strap lanyard because I have bought several stabilizers in the past that didn't have 1. But I was able to find what I needed and make 1 happen. I highly recommend this extension bar!

My favorite 3-Axis Gimbal !!
I bought this Gimbal for my Trip to Europe and I absolutely LOVED it! Of course there are some improvements that could be done but I found an alternative. The only problem I had with the Feiyu Tech FY-G4S 3-Axis Gimbal is that if the camera is not set a certain way. Once turned on, the camera will start in a weird position (i.e upside down or even vibrate) unless like I said, if I don't put the camera a certain way. It's pretty tough and I like how that there is a full 360 movement making it easier to do selfie recording on the GoPro. I have yet to install the firmware but it seemed as if it was ready to be used out of the box. When I first received it, I calibrated it and didn't have to be calibrated again. This item came with a carrying case which was able to keep my equipment nice and neatly in my backpack that I packed to Europe. Hands down, best investment I ever made. I love it so much.

Good product for the money.
I was impressed with the design of this extension pole having a finger size hole at the connection point to have access the bottom of the Feiyu GS4 gimbal's on/off button switch. I read other extension products to use for the Feiyu, you need to remove the shaft to turn on the gimbal . . . thats not efficient! This one is great! This has a 1/4 20 at the bottom of the extension end, a nice feature for greater extensions. Using this extension pole, you can control the gimbals pan and tilt if needed with the wireless remote from Feiyu. I purchased this extension pole seeing the posted photos for this product ad that there are two indentation per shaft thinking it is to prevent the shaft from free spinning (turning clockwise or counter) the gimbal, but it does not work that way I thought it seemed. You just need to turn it clock or counter clockwise to lock the shaft. I suggest to turn it clockwise as it's the same direction (standard threading) to lock the extension to the Feiyu gimbal shaft. This shaft is very short 10" when collapsed . . . that its very portable and good for travel. This product is good for the money.

Potentially Great But A Few Major Flaws
I have very mixed feelings about this product and wanted to give a detailed review.THE GOODYou definitely have the potential to get some really great shots. The other manufacturers of similar devices around this price point have disappointed me and this is definitely a step closer to perfect, but not quite. A massive plus is the fact that you don't have to do the kind of calibration that is required on the Smooth C (their competitor). The fact that you can attach an extension pole is also a big plus.THE BAD1. The distance between the base of where your phone is and the top of the pole is very minimal, meaning that as you turn, it's easy for the phone to clip the base and ruin your shot. They could have simply resolved this by expanding the distance between the two.2. Their competitor's product has a joystick right on the device so you don't need anything extra to tilt. With this you have to buy a third party accessory. If you do this, be very care and get the wireless model. If you use the extension pole, the cord won't reach when fully extended.3. If you do use the wired remote, I've found that many times there's a significant delay between when I push a button and the device responds.I've also found that if I hold the remote it will sometimes randomly stop mid way through (again, ruining the shot).4. The fourth problem is the gimbal itself. In my filmmaking I tend to do a lot of "whip around" shots and it seems the gimbal has a lot of trouble keeping up. Many times it will go off kilter, but then eventually adjust itself. That doesn't help my shot.5. They tell you right out of the box that you need to run firmware updates. By the videos I've been watching on YouTube this seems to cause more problems than it fixes. Also if you're a Mac owner, you're out of luck since the software to update the firmware is only for Windows.Overall, I can't say I'm blown away by this product. The potential is definitely there. I will likely return it and bite the bullet and just order the Osmo instead (I'm not a fan of DJI as a company). Too bad. This product could have been awesome.

I wanted to love this...
I wanted to love this thing but out of the box it would not hold horizon. When I reinitalized, it would keep flipping the camera backwards. When reorented, it would slowly pan to the right on its own. As for the 360 claim, my unit would make noise and shudder when reaching anything beyond 90 degrees. This one obviously is going back to Amazon.Update: Have now returned a second unit to Amazon for the same reason. The unit does appear to be well built but there is clearly an issue with QC and/or firmware. Considering it's a return to China for warranty/service, I am not persuing the FY products any further. I have purchased a EVO GP-Pro and you might want to check it out. Yes it is a premium vs the FY line, but it's even better built and rock solid in use. The big plus is that while it's manufactured in China, it is an US company based in Bend, OR with a US warranty. They answer emails and phone calls, directions are very clear AND you do firmware updates on your MAC.

Good, but fragile with limited service support
Good little gimbal, and stabilises nicely, even in high winds, however it is very fragile. I had to return the first when one motor stopped working. The replacement does not hold level perfectly, but service is by return to China only, which is very slow.

Great for stability only.
This was a cool item to use. The one problem that I found was that It seemed to want to tilt any time you did a panning motion. I was never able to get a proper panning shot because it would always tilt the gopro to about a 45 degree angle
