You need this for your next outdoor adventure
I use these daily and have no complaints. Easy to fill up. Easy to pour out. Great for camping adventures. Durable, easy to clean and look classy and made rugged. Thicker than other water containers. Could be used for emergency preparedness

Happy customer, 10 years later in tropical sun
Almost 10 years later in the sunny tropics, these water jugs are still going strong. Have purchased inferior brands that have degraded within 6 months. Excellent, proven product!

Good Product With Some Minor Work
Ordered five of these. As other reviewers have stated the seams are bad and need to be trimmed to prevent leaking if the cans are ever on their side. I trimmed them up, rinsed them out, and filled them just less than half full and laid them on their sides. Out of five, two spouts leaked. I checked them and the O-ring had slid up the spout a bit. I pressed them back flat into place and re-secured the spouts. No leaks. I then turned the cans so the vents were on bottom and only one leaked. The vent hole was drilled too close to the edge where trimming the seam was not enough to stop it from leaking. I tore a small piece of plastic from a Wal-Mart shopping bag, folded it over a couple times and draped it over the vent, then tightened the vent cap over it to hold it in place. It worked and the vent does not leak now. Overall, I am pleased with the product. I knew the seams would be an issue before I purchased and it all worked out. Kudos to previous reviewers that pointed this out.

Tough, durable, and can take punishment!
We've used these Rhino-Pak jugs for 5 years and they are by far the most durable water containers we have found. We've tried several other makes and they don't stand up to our demands. Here's how we use them: We have a remote Alaskan cabin. We must haul all of our drinking water. In the summer, that means by boat. In the winter, its by snow machine (snow mobile for lower 48'ers). The containers are abused and beat-up. They are repeatedly frozen and thawed. These are the only jugs we've found that will stand that treatment intact. We've not lost one yet. The issue of minor leaks due to excess molding plastic is possible, but the solution is simple and quick (a little trimming with a sharp blade). Also, because we allow them to freeze, we do not fill them more than 85-90%. They stack well and handle well. At least 4.5 stars, we can recommend them.

Good Form Factor
This a good value jug for the money. As durable as the more expensive brands. The narrow form factor makes it ideal for use as a fresh water supply for overlanding rigs. A CPC quick disconnect will fit the lid with slight modification to the lid. The jug is not leakproof if laid on its side. But, it works well as a stand up water supply that can be outfitted with a 12v pump to provide pressure water in a camping rig. Two of them side by side fit well in most any truck bed build-out. And they easy to carry if you have tote water.

Heavy Duty
These work great to free up space in the gray tank of my RV. Keeps me off grid longer.

Good water conatainer.
Nice water container. We store water because the county water system is off line a lot. So far no leaks and we haven't babied it at all.

They do leak a little, so I wouldn't lay them down on their sides or stack them that way. We keep them full in the back of our towing vehicle so we always have fresh water when boondocking. They're about 43 pounds when full of water, so you'll want to keep that in mind when you think about lifting them to pour them. Otherwise very robust and strong. I also trimmed the excess plastic off all the parting lines as mentioned in the previous reviews.

Do you need a water jug you can kick down the side of a mountain, and then use it again the next day? This is probably the closest you'll ever get, and I'd give at least 50/50 odds on it making it down the mountain intact. Can't say that about any of the others I've tried. Odds may vary with spiky-death-mountainness of your mountain.

Unfortunate that they don't make a faucet-like spigot for this product, might have factored into my decision to buy, although the size is right for what I wanted it for. As another reviewer mentioned the plastic edges on the handle can be a bit rough, you can run over it with a utility knife and trim it flush easily enough. Given that it holds so much water, it can get rather heavy, and good handle grip matters. I was tired of the soft-sided water jugs that don't maintain their shape, and this one is definitely a solid contender. [Update] I can confirm the white "Reliance Replacement Spout Assembly For Desert Patrol Water Containers" fits the Rhino-Pak as well, and will be giving a try installing a "Samyo 304 Stainless Steel Beverage Dispenser Replacement Spigot" into it.

I've used a bunch of different water containers at my off grid cabin, but they always crack/break under continuous use. This Rhino container is a different beast, however. I've put mine (I purchased 5, but lost one when it fell out of my trailer and I didn't notice. Because I didn't have it strapped down, totally my fault), through hell and back, transporting them by ATV to my cabin. They're strong as hell. If I lost any more I would buy another in a heartbeat. Great price too.

Very sturdy water container. Great for packing on trips. I also use this to fill up the larger water containers for long-term storage.
