Blown away with the quality for double bass.....amazing!
A friend of mine was selling an Audio Technica mics for double bass and wanted £200. They sounded great but thought I'd look around.....I found his Behringer CB100 for £25 so thought it was worth a punt, and the result is stunning! Honestly this sounds like a very high quality mic capsule and when blended with a magnetic pickup is perfect for recording. The only down side is that it does not include a clamp for the goose-neck so I used cable tied to hold it to the bridge. I found the the foam surrounding the capsule vibrated at first but moving it around in the plastic rings soon stopped any movement. Recommended for any accoustic bass players looking to amplify and keep their natural tone.

Great mic for double bass without breaking the bank
Very impressed with this mic. It achieves a very natural sound when fitted to my double bass. It took a little trial and error to find the optimum position but I found under the bridge just 1cm above the table to be the best sound without boomy low frequencies. I use an audio interface with phantom power between the bass and the amp. I managed to use the associated clamp too (originally designed for banjos or violins). When clamped on to the string silks near the tailpiece there is no vibration and it will hold the mic in-situ. See pictures for reference. Very happy.

Good as always with Behringer
Nice product, good quality, would be nice if it came with a basic clip for guitar soundhole, but can't really argue at the price! Be aware it required 48v phantom power, and it won't work just plugged into the XLR input on most guitar amps, which generally don't have phantom power available (for that, you'll need a small mic preamp with 48v phantom power).

Very good value
I have experience with quite a range of microphones and wasn't expecting much from this very cheap thing from a company with a dubious reputation - but in fact it is pretty well-made and comes with an XLR adapter, so plugs into any mic input with phantom power. The noise performance is perhaps a little worse than other more pricey condenser mics, but is useable, especially if combined with a noise gate. I use it with my fiddle and it is good enough for gigs. You'll have to use EQ to manage the uneven response. I bought a clip intended for a Zero instrument mic and it fits well enough.

Quality and price
I test this condenser microphone the sound is Cristal clear and you got slots of space for your finger on your music instrument only problem is it’s doesn’t have a clip to hold the mic I’m using a cloth clip to hold it but it’s not strong enough I have find another way

Sax mic
Its broken no sound out of it at all, not happy, and if its for a brass instrument how can I attach it to my sax without a clip? Will be returning it.

It works ok. The very thin cable worries me.
This microphone does work ok. It's about on a par with the Begringer C-2 microphone. In other words not the best, but after EQ-ing the recording, it's reasonably ok. The goose neck is very good and an adequate length, and it fitted my guitar clamp, which was great. What worries me is the very thin cable. I'll bet my bottom dollar that this will be the first thing to fail, most likely from an accidental tug. And when it goes, the whole thing is a write-off. They really should have included a clamp. As it is, I had to shell out an extra £14 for one.
