I was given an older Sony Bravia tv (model: KDL-40EX400) that a friend just had sitting in the basement collecting dust. I was contemplating buying a smart tv for my bedroom when this was offered and I took it assuming I could plug a Roku into it and get the smart functionality (I don’t have cable but I do have some streaming services). The tv worked great, but it didn’t come with a remote which meant that I couldn’t access the HDMI ports; and, yes, I tried using the buttons on the tv. I ordered this remote because it said it would work with any Bravia but was hesitant because the tv is circa 2010. It arrived well packaged and as described (without batteries), and worked with my tv flawlessly. I plugged a couple things into the hdmi port and the remote immediately recognized them. The remote is fairly big considering standard remote sizes but it’s not an issue. It’s fast with no delay from pushing the button to action and I was able to turn off the tv from another room so it didn’t need to be pointing at the tv so the range is fairly good (especially considering you used to need to align sensors). Plus, the price point made it virtually risk free to try it… I’d buy this remote again for sure. It feels very durable.

I was making due with my old remote (buttons didnt work) and finally looked for a replacement. This looked the closest to the old one and was so inexpensive. I recieved 2. I was expecting a frustrating-complicated proceedure to make it work. I took it out, placed 2 batteries in it and it works with no set up.

Everything basic works as expected but there are a few things that this remote can’t do. Like double clicking home button dosnt allow you to close apps. Feels quality.

Honestly didn’t expect this to work but felt like it was low enough risk to try it out and imagine my surprise when it immediately linked to my Apple TV and worked perfectly! Perfect replacement remote at a very reasonable price.

Very easy to set up. It didn't come with instructions so I just aimed it at TV and held the power button a few seconds. My TV asked if I wanted to Restart TV. After hitting ok button, it restarted and both were in sync after that.

This is my 4th purchase of this remote. The last one lasted only 5 month. The prior one lasted 5 months. Who knows how long this one will last? The exact problem occurs each time. The Play, Volume and Pause buttons all fail to respond. Return customers like myself should get a credit for my repeat business. Why keep buying a poorly made product you ask? Because there are zero alternative remotes to buy for my Sony bravia model. Caught between a rock and a hard place! Between the devil and the deep blue sea! This is a catch 22! Fubar!
