I wasn’t sure how fast this stuff could actually work, but I found out the other day when I had to figure out a temporary rescue technique for some plants that had been roughed around in the mail and needed support while I waited for their new pots to arrive. I put some of this potting mix in temporary containers and set the two inch pots down into it, being careful not to put soil any deeper than it had been in their pots. I moistened the potting mix first so I could avoid overwatering. The plants perked up within hours and the tallest one stopped leaning and stood straight up! I had some problems with the chemical smell, but that faded by the end of the day. This rescue attempt kept my roughed up two inch plants healthy and safe until I was able to transplant them into larger pots. All of the two inch plants I had ordered transplanted easily with this potting mix and the chemical odor faded gradually. I moistened it as I added it to the pots, a little at a time. The plants all look great, which is actually a miracle for me because I have never had much luck keeping indoor plants healthy. My outdoor plants and flowering shrubs love me, but tropical plants usually hate me. I’m trying to change this and it’s working so far. I’ve been using the organic potting mix to grow vegetable seeds and only one seed died so far because I didn’t water it in time. I’m impressed with the potting mixes so far. I also bought some of the expanding mix, but I haven’t tried that yet. It sounds like fun. Any potting mix that keeps a tropical plant alive in my house is miraculous, so this stuff deserves high praise. I wouldn’t use the non-organic type on vegetables but they have more than one organic choice for vegetables. They’re worth trying. I like the indoor one so far and I plan to try the outdoor kind soon.

Can't go wrong with this classic potting soil. My plants are thriving. I usually buy the organic indoor potting soil by miracle grow, but this one served my purposes just fine. The texture was very soft. No bug our mold issues.

Best potting soil I know. However, some bags do contain gnats. Not a big problem as it's easily treated. Good quality for good price. I always use this soil and my plants are thriving.

This potting mix is great. You can tell it's a good quality as soon as you open the bags. I'll never go back to cheap dollar store dirt. Easy to use, my plants seem to be thriving now. No dustiness when opening the bags for the first time. Love that there's 2 bags in the set.

I've used miracle grow before and it does work well but these bags seemed a little dry like maybe they've been sitting around too long. I'm still going to use it, I'll just add some water then plant my Morning Glory seeds. 🙂

first, it has many ingredients and really no soil to speak of. second, either the compost it uses resembles peat moss or it indeed uses peat moss, but its not a sustainable resource and the industry has moved away from using it. lastly, don't bother using a granular fertilizer to give your plants a boost. the label says it feeds plants for 6 months and won't list the npk ratio. but if its miracle gro then its gonna be all nitrogen so beware if growing flowers or bulbs. also, its too costly for a container garden but unless you need 2 bags of 1 cu ft of potting mix, then go for it.

Great product. No smell no mess. It keeps soil moisture and no insects. Great for potting plants.

I have primarily used this product for a number of planters I put together this year. All are doing well. Strong growth and blossoms opening early. Very much enjoying the results and will continue to use this product.
