I purchased this food thermometer after finally getting myself a slow cooker because I was still a bit unsure if the meat was cooked properly in it and I wanted to be sure to avoid making the family sick. It's a really handy piece of kit. Super simple to use, easy to read and accurate. The first thing I did was test it in a pot of boiling water to make sure and it measured the temperature at 100.2°C so I'm happy that it measures correctly. It turns on automatically when you unfold the probe and switches off automatically when you fold it back up again which is good because it means I can't leave it switched on by accident and drain the battery. It has a handy backlight for the display to make reading the thermometer easier, which you can turn on with a quick press of a button. Hold the same button down and the thermometer readout will switch between °C and °F depending on which you prefer. To take the temperature of the food just stick the probe in the thickest part and wait a few seconds for the readout on the display to stabilise. It's that easy. It also comes with a handy temperature guide printed on the back of the thermometer for the most popular cooked meats and a more detailed paper guide too. I keep mine in the box in my cupboard but it does have a magnet on the back if you wish to store it stuck to the fridge so it's within easy reach. You may notice a rattling sound when using the thermometer, this is not a fault with the product as explained by a label attached to it. It is because the device contains a gravity sensor to allow the display to rotate depending on whether the user is right or left handed, which is a neat feature. The price of this product was very reasonable. In fact I was concerned that it may be too cheap to be much good but I was wrong. It's a fab little food thermometer that I now use everyday. I wish I'd got one sooner.

This is very easy to use. Accurate and good quality.

Folds away nicely and to turns on when opened. Does the job and has a magnet on the back which is great as it’s sticks to our hob. So we never lose it in the overflowing utensils drawer. Does Fahrenheit and Celsius, and the temperature reading will flip depending which way you are holding it which is a nice touch. It takes the guess work out of cooking.

Great quality product for frequent use with my air fryer to ensure perfectly cooked meats. Like that it is magnetic and can therefore be placed around my kitchen for ease of regular use. Was brilliant when cooking many different roasts at Christmas.

I bought this item to use with my bread maker and I can’t believe I haven’t had one sooner. I now use it all the time! It’s really easy to use and quick. I’m assuming it’s accurate - my bread rose after using this which I’d failed to achieve before. I use it for far more than bread. Great for checking things in the air fryer are fully cooked as I’m never fully sure on air fryer timings.

I’ve been using this thermometer for about two months now while cooking meat and baking, and overall it performs well. It gives quick readings and seems accurate based on cross-checks with boiling water and other tools I’ve used. ✅ Pros: • Very quick to use—just unfold the probe and it powers on instantly. • Switches easily between °C and °F. • Good value for the price and gets the job done reliably so far. ❌ Cons: • It’s not waterproof, so you can't rinse or wash it like many would assume. I missed this detail initially (it is listed in the product description). • You’re advised not to touch the probe directly (at all?), but you need to unfold it manually—which feels a bit contradictory. • The build feels a bit flimsy, especially the plastic housing. Summary: It’s a useful and affordable kitchen tool if you’re careful with handling and cleaning it. Just be sure to clean the probe with a damp cloth and avoid submerging or running it under water. Will revisit this review if long-term use brings up anything new.
