I needed a replacement for a ten year old MacBook Pro, which had begun to show problems in operation. Not being able to splash out for the full price of a brand new one, various kind friends pointed me in the direction of Amazon's Refurbished Store to find a used bargain. I must say I was initially skeptical about what state a nearly 5 year old machine might arrive in, but I was instantly surprised at how good the laptop looked on arrival. It really was in great condition for a device of its' age. Sure, if you really look closely, the casing has evidence of previous use, but nothing concerning, and the screen is absolutely scratch and mark free. It certainly lives up to its' description as being in 'excellent' condition. I must also comment on the packaging. You don't get Apple's own product box, but the seller's bespoke packaging is in many ways better than the original manufacturer's. The laptop was encased in a rigid inflatable plastic cocoon to protect it from knocks in transit, and then sealed in a stiff cardboard carton - excellent! Setting it up was very easy. It did take about an hour from powering up, but the majority of that time was loading the back up I took from my old laptop. Now I have a fully operational 'new' device with all my original files and apps intact. The screen is very comfortable to look at, and the audio quality through the internal loudspeakers is vastly improved over the old machine. My only query was in relation to the power unit/charger supplied. It doesn't have a logo on it, like my old one does, so I question whether it is actually an Apple original? I also can't really keep the old one as a spare because the connections are not compatible. All that said, it seems to be working perfectly well, so I am not overly worried over it. Overall I am very impressed with this refurbished Laptop, and so I would recommend this seller wholeheartedly. The acid test, of course, will be the longevity of the device in use, so I will reserve the right to update this review in the future, should I feel that to be necessary.

I'll admit, this is the first time that I've ever taken a risk on a second hand/recondition piece of tech and I was nervous that I'd come to regret it!I don't at all. That laptop arrived well packaged in what is basically 'New' condition. I've hunted around and gone all over it and I can't find a single mark on it anywhere!Works perfectly and represents a massive saving over a new MacBook Pro 16.Slightly sad that a couple of the latest App Store apps for creative writing that I had even using on my iPhone won't run on the older intel chip MacBooks as they require an M series chip but that's only a minor inconvenience and there were plenty of alternatives to use.Any program that would have been available on my windows laptop is available for the Mac and the added bonus of being able to work seamlessly between my iPhone, iPad and the MacBook totally outweighs the odd downside in capability for the occasional app especially when we're talking about a nearly 2000 pound difference between this 2019 model and the latest 2024 equivalent.A few days in new of constant playing, working, writing and gaming and I can't fault this laptop at all.Extremely satisfied to say the least!

Perfect in every way, except for the exterior bumps, scratches and dings. These were supposed to be unblemished at 30cm, but only if you are Eli from last of the summer wine. I bought a cover and now it’s perfect. It’s very solid and weighs a fair bit, but that’s what you pay for. It’s lovely, battery life is excellent and it’s fast enough for us oldies.

AVOID THIS SELLER!!!Bought April 2026, £399, listed as Excellent condition. By August it had stopped charging and would not power on. No damage, no drops, no liquid. It sat on a desk.Two independent repairers looked at it. One said it could not be fixed. The other diagnosed a logic board charging fault and quoted £220 to repair, on a machine I paid £399 for.Four months is not acceptable for a professionally tested and refurbished laptop. Whatever inspection this went through missed a failing charging circuit. Or they probably knew and sold it that way anyway.If you buy Renewed and it fails, the Amazon Renewed Guarantee covers you for a year from delivery. The automated returns page will tell you otherwise. Speak to a human.AVOID THIS SELLER!!!

Having owned a macbook pro 2016 edition for 8 years now (which cost me approx £2600 back then). Well, I recently (and accidently) messed up the screen on it. Additionally the older versions (like mine) have a poor keyboard where some of the keys tend to stick, double type, or in some cases not work at all!! Buying a brand new one, was out of my budget. However to my surprise I stumbled across this supplier offering a 2019 version for just under £600. So decided to "BUY". WOW, to my surprise, arrived a day earlier than expected, was well packed and once I had removed the packaging, felt like I had bought me a brand new MINT condition Macbook Pro.!! I'm sooo pleased to up and running (problem free again). The moral of this story, is 1. If you are thinking of buying a MACBOOK Pro, but don't have the budget for a new one. Don't fear, MACBOOKS are so well made and always perform well, no matter how old. 2. This supplier delivered a mint version, a day earlier and with warranty. It's a NO BRAINER. The other good news is, I now have 2 MACBOOK Pro's. My 2016 version is now permanently plugged into a monitor and I use a seperate keyboard and mouse (Happy Days) :). What you waiting for? You WON'T be disappointed :)

Considering this is a refurbished laptop looks almost as new

I guess any future customer should consider that for its' price, this refurbished 2019 model is without doubt a bargain. Yet, apart from being unable to make a really nice cup of tea, it will pretty much do everything else. The weight is solid and sturdy and although there are a couple of tiny knocks and scratches, these add character I feel in a way. The battery life is a case of going down [ooh-er] when using the internet, somewhat faster than a more recent model and running software heats it up a tad. The size is almost ideal for an adult's digits. In reality a total bargain.
