Is this baby full tang or is the handle all plastic so it can break because I am so strong

Is this a joke? I'm 5'11 210Lbs, been bodybuilding 5 days a week, naturally, since 1997. There is no way you're going to break this Trowel. It is super tough. I don't know what you are trying to do with it, but it can handle whatever you throw at it, and it's ready for more. You will wear out before this Trowel will. I've used it on hard ground, while hitting big rocks under, no bends, no breaks.

what is the difference between a garden trowel and a spade

Dear Ms. Benson,Usually a garden trowel has what I think of as a "traditional" shovel shape, and is held in one hand. A spade (at least the ones I've used) has a full-sized handle (meaning if the blade is resting on the ground the handle comes up to a height somewhere between your belly and chest) and rather than coming to a point - the end of the blade is straight (square). I use a trowel to dig small holes and I use a spade when I want a straight edge instead of a point (cutting out squares of sod, for example). Hope this info has helped, and all the best to you!

Does this have lead in it?

Almost every metal object on the planet has at least a bit of lead in it, generally it is in the parts per million range. My guess on this is that there is a disclosure on it because of California's insane environmental standards. In the US there is a standard (GADSL for anyone that cares - REACH in Europe) that governs the amount of a "banned" substance that can be in a given product. California has upped the ante on that list by 100-fold. In order to sell products in California there must be a disclosure on the product (hence the tags that you see that say this product is known by the state of CA to contain cancer causing carcinogens...or something to that effect).

Does it break easily?

Not yet, it does seem to be built very well. I would buy it again.
