I’ve used several different colors of Sunlu’s transparent filament, and it has never disappointed me. This particular color is gorgeous — vibrant, clean, and perfect for the project I bought it for. I’m currently making transparent characters from The Very Hungry Caterpillar so my wife can use them with her preschool students. The idea is that the kids can act out the story on their light table as she reads, and I think they’re going to absolutely love it. As expected from Sunlu, the filament prints beautifully. It’s easy to work with, consistently feeds well, and the spool is tightly wound with no tangles. I’m running it on my Bambu printer, and it performs great. Overall, I’m really impressed with how bright and crisp the prints look.

I am equally satisfied with both the print quality and the strength of the material. The finished prints are clean and neat, with virtually no stringing or overspill, and the surface finish is uniform. Throughout the entire process, there were no issues such as nozzle clogs, filament breaks, or inconsistent extrusion. The material exhibits excellent bed adhesion and interlayer bonding, resulting in parts with good toughness—they are not brittle and are resistant to breaking. Given this level of quality, the price is very competitive. After comparing it in actual use, I believe it is on par with the original filament I’ve used before—equally excellent. The filament also has a beautiful, subtle matte finish, resulting in a high-quality, premium-looking final product. The overall user experience is excellent.

This big spool is perfect if you use more white than anything! Prints perfect and makes your projects look great! Spool is to big for my printer but it makes a perfect to respool my smaller spools. I dont mind the time it takes to respool from this large spool. Definitely worth the money if you use alot of 1 color!!

This has been a great experience so far. I’ve been running Sunlu Black PLA on my Bambu Lab P2S with the AMS2 Pro, and it feeds flawlessly through the AMS without any issues. The spool arrived tightly vacuum sealed, and through the first half of the roll I haven’t encountered a single tangle. Print performance has been equally solid. Bed adhesion is excellent on both a smooth PEO plate and a textured PEI plate—no lifting or inconsistencies. Layer adhesion is strong, and the finished prints have a clean, consistent surface with a really nice overall finish. I’ve be included a time-lapse and a couple of photos of a paper towel holder I printed with this filament. It turned out exactly how I hoped—clean lines, solid structure, and a great final appearance. I haven’t finished the full spool yet, but based on the first half, this is a very dependable PLA that performs exactly as expected. If consistency, ease of use, and solid print quality matter to you, this is an easy recommendation. I’d absolutely buy this again.

Absolutely love the bone white, OD green and tan! Prints well However; every roll I've used produces a failed print do to a bind in the roll. Filament gets stuck between the side of roll and the layer under it. Might have to print a tangle breaker.

I’ve been running this SUNLU Black PLA through my Bambu Lab P1S in my basement workshop, and it has been incredibly consistent. For the price, it’s a reliable "set it and forget it" filament that handles both technical parts and creative models with ease. ​ The AMS Advantage: One of the best things about this specific filament is that it comes on a plastic spool. If you use a Bambu AMS, you know that cardboard spools can be hit-or-miss—they create dust and sometimes slip. These plastic spools spin perfectly without needing any printed rim adapters or extra modifications. ​ Performance & Print Quality: ​ Consistent Winding: The "neatly wound" claim is accurate. I haven’t had a single tangle or snag, which is critical for long, unattended prints. ​ Dimensional Accuracy: My articulated models and fidget sliders come out moving freely right off the plate. The +/- 0.02 mm tolerance ensures that moving parts don’t fuse together. ​Low Odor: Since my printer is in a basement with restricted ventilation, I really appreciate that this has almost zero smell during the printing process. ​ Bed Adhesion: It sticks perfectly to the PEI plate without needing any glue or special settings. ​ Final Verdict: If you want a budget-friendly filament that is 100% compatible with the Bambu ecosystem and provides smooth, repeatable results, this is a great choice. It’s a solid workhorse for anyone who wants high quality without the premium price tag.

As PLA goes it isn't the best, but that's more to do with being a translucent filament rather than being poorly formulated. It prints at normal temperatures, isn't brittle, doesn't clog (which suggests good dimensional accuracy which you would expect from a Sunlu labelled filament. Not inclined to tangle and looks good. Note that transparent PLA is notorious for being prone to hair. You have to fuss with parameters for best results. I've used it for desiccant jars i place in the hub of filament spools as it lets me see the degree of moisture absorption in the filaments. Like all PLA it is NOT very impact resistant, especially if your print is mostly lattice work (gotta have air circulation which means weak walls.)

You cannot go wrong with Sunlu filaments! Always works well well with my P1S and AMS . I've been printing so many different things in different colors & have not had any issues with any of the Sunlu filaments, you just feed them in and print! Great price for a great product!
