Great Start for R
Learning the R language can be overwhelming. R is exceptionally powerful with many, many options and features. To make getting started easy, RStudio is a shell that makes life more sturctured and simple. Getter Started with RStudio is a short, but intensive guide to the RStudio shell. This book provides an introduction to creating your own package, managing the many R packages available, and creating R programs. While many R users simply use R interactively, the ability to write R programs lets you address more complicated analysis tasks -- and retain your solution as a program that can be applied to new datasets. If you are new to R, consider using the RStudio shell and this book to guide you through it.

It is what it purports to be
This is a reasonable walkthrough of the R Studio environment. It could have been accomplished more succinctly, perhaps in a less expensive volume, but it has the necessary information to help reduce annoying speed bumps in your R workflow.

Error-prone Examples
From the very beginning, the provided examples and downloadable datasets were error-prone. This book gets 1/5 stars on its publisher's website, much for that same reason.

Light on content
Its an ok book, but on such a small book, a couple of chapters are wasted. Downloading and installing R and R-Studio should not require so much detail for the intended audience and there is also a chapter about creating your own packages, which is not really useful.
