Good backup
I'm usually leery of using non-original batteries from third-party manufacturer in my expensive equipment, but given the great reviews for this battery I thought I'd give it a try as a backup. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the charge on this STK battery lasted just as long in my Rebel T5 as the original Canon battery did. Furthermore, this battery fits great in my T5 camera without any wiggling or jiggling, it charges in the Canon charger without any problems. Best of all, it costs a fraction of what Canon was asking for an extra OEM battery I use this battery only as a backup for my original Canon battery, and it works great for that since it manages to hold on to its charge pretty well when it’s just sitting in the case. I don’t have to worry about constantly maintaining the charge level, which is nice. This battery costs 1/4 what a new one from Canon would cost, so it's cheap insurance against a dead battery. I probably would buy another original Canon battery if I needed to replace my primary, but this is a great backup.
