this is as large as it is described in the product listing. very large as it shown. it is not plastic and the kite was build with ripstop nylon cloth with printed image. the bird body and wing are sew together with curve. much better looking construction than some of the similar kite on the market. the spread bar are cfk and carbon rod not plastics. the bird wing is swap back and body are curve. this all is under $18 usd! remarkable. the workman ship is bit off. there are a lot lose threads left at end of binding tap. it will not get any point in any of the kite competition for the workmanship! as a seasoned kite maker myself, i am shame of the person who sew this together. guess you get to do the job fast to earn a living, some corner has be cut. anyway, it will not affect the flight. as it is bird kite, it is not launch and left it alone kind of flying. it requires a lot tlc to keep it in the sky. a fast paying flying wheel is recommended for any this kind kite. just ordered one from the same site. works great. if the bird dive, run toward it and at same time pay out line. once it recovers, tight the line up. keep no slack in the fly ling and constant tension. it is a lot of fun. a blast to fly. go fly a kite and may wind always be good. update: it was a great flyer! very easy to launch and fly straight and high. an average angle of 75 degrees. it needs tlc to bring it down. it stays up and very stable.

It was nice while it lasted. Have several products from Hengda this one not so good *. There's a plastic cross piece that broke I'd say maybe 7-10 miles an hour Wind if that. I would like to get these people to send a replacement piece but I don't know where they live-- UPDATE! I found out where they live- China. So, reached out, they sent a replacement- gonna strengthen the middle piece and FLY AWAY!!!!! Great company the Kite people who sell this..

I bought this kite about a week ago and was thoroughly impressed with it from initial quality to cost perspective. I unfortunately got about a days use from it before I broke one of the fiberglass rods. I was attempting to launch it in a really high wind situation when it broke, I'd say it was partly my fault. The kite fooled a few family members as they thought it was an actual Eagle hovering above from a short distance. It looks pretty realistic. My one real complaint is the length of kite string. While I don't know the actual length of this kit, it left me wishing is bought a separate string kit with more length. In the end, I'm going to buy another one of these and use my remaining parts as spares should I happen to break another piece on the new kit.

Easy to put together. Flies REALLY well. It really looks good. It's large and drew comments. Its NOT plastic its ripstop nylon so quite sturdy. I gave it to a kid crying over his POS kite. Made his whole vacation and at this great price, I can just replace it. As a journeyman kite flier, I totally recommend this kite. Packs up small. I'm buying more with zero reservations.

I think the kite is fine except for one major issue. There are no instructions. The only instructions are actually safety advice as where not to fly the kite. We could not get it airborne. There is no way to contact the manufacturer They include a Ikea type drawing. They don't tell you exactly where to attach the kite to your string. I tried to contact the manufacturer by their shipping address but there is no telephone listing. The bottom line is that they need more specific instructions on how to assemble the kite.

We got this for a beach trip to Thailand. Looks cool, big, easy to fly - if there's enough wind for some white-caps - you're good to go. I thought it might be impossible to disassemble and re-use, but it's easy! and we had no trouble putting it back in it's case. Light and small enough to pack into a carry-on suitcase or backpack. Fun and great value - Highly recommended.

Good fun while it lasted. But a few crashes and a small tree (normal stuff) broke it beyond repair. Flies great when new. Looks awesome too. But definitely not a durable kite.

The kite is really big which is fantastic but after 4 minutes of flight one of the wing rods broke with barely any wind force.

Very small package. Was suprised. But it flies nice.

Lasted 15 minutes before one of the rods split.
