How well does it work with vertical vents, pictures only show horizontal

I have horizontal vents but the instructions say that it also works on vertical vents. After installing I see it could work with both.

Does this work with a case with a pop socket?

Please kindly know the supported maximun thickness of your device is 14mm(0.5in）,if you use a pop socket case,please confirm whether the thickness is less than 14mm.

I have the iPhone 13 pro max with thick case, will this be too Large or thick?

What's the difference between this upgrade hook and the old clamp clip?
