Best bipod for the money!
Harris bipod have been around for along time and been proven. This bipod is an excellent buy for most applications where a bipod is needed. Sturdy, lightweight enough and priced right. They’re higher quality bipods out there but they are 3x the price, and for most people’s needs I believe a Harris would suit them very well. This S-BRM model has the swivel and notched legs which make it my favorite. It’s easy to deploy the legs and with a press of a button you can extend the legs.My only complaint would have to be the screw knob to tighten the swivel feature is to difficult to tighten...but there are companies that make a solution to this problem. All in all I don’t know if a better bipod in this price range.

Harris Bipod ...
Love this bipod ... had hard time deciding on how long the legs should be - do I only shoot from the bench or do I get a little longer legs to shoot from sitting position???? The Harris bipod connected (installed) very easily - looks and feels very strong & durable. Harris bipod installs by pinch-gripping the sling nipple on the rifle stock, (no drilling or complex mounting procedures). Can be simply and temporarily removed by thumb-wheel adjustment screw and sling nipple-pinch holder (30 seconds - on/off ... wouldn't do this often). Adds a bit of weight to the front-end of the rifle - but still is very nice. Have the Harris bipod mounted to a Marlin .308 with the heavy 26" barrel - does not jump to the left or right when fired. No noticeable jump or lift from ground or bench, straight back recoil & recovery – tight shot group! If you have a rail system (picitinny or weaver) on the bottom of your military style rifle you may wish to concider a Rota-pod adapter as well. No rail system - no adapter required!

Very Good, Solid Shooting BiPod
I saw several reviews that questioned authenticity but I can attest that this is a genuine Harris BiPod. Installation was easy and very secure attached to my rifle's sling swivel (CZ 457). I separately purchased the MIM S Lock recommended by other reviewers and will use it but honestly do not think it is needed. The knurled tensioning knob that it is designed to replace is not difficult to manipulate and does a good job for its intended purpose. The bipod is lightweight, strong, and very stable. This is a good value and I am well satisfied with my purchase. Recommended.

Great bipod with an unbeatable pedigree!
I love this bipod! It went on my Colt 901-16S (.308). Was on the fence for a long time over the 6-9 or 9-11. Super glad I went with the 6-9 because with the picatinny rail adapter (American Defense) the 9-11 would have been far too high when shooting prone. Like many people have said, I too had a hard time getting enough torque on the swivel lock to keep the rifle from canting, but I attribute that to the higher than normal CG from the bipod rail adapter and the scope riser. I bought an Alpha-Bravo short angled swivel lock, made out of zinc, from Midway ($15). If I had this bipod on a bolt action I think it would be fine; I might try on my 7mag to see. Anyway, the height of this 6-9 is more than enough to clear my 20 round magazines by ~1", but my 25 round magazines are a little too tall to keep from clearing the ground.Overall this is an amazing American made bipod at a very reasonable price, considering all the alternatives. It's not the most expensive, by a long shot, but it's also not the cheapest. In the end I'll always pay more for a product made in the USA!

Very real, legitimate Harris Bipod
I saw in the reviews a few people were getting fake bipods. Many weren't, but enough were that along with the lower-than-average price, it gave me pause for concern. After reviewing the price changes on camelcamelcamel (and emailing harris directly about it), I decided to take the plunge anyways and I'm glad I did.Its a very real, authentic, genuine American-made Harris Bipod.Bear in mind my frame of reference is only for very cheap bipods and even then it was on other people's guns. I did some reviewing and googling before settling on these and let me tell you, the features listed are no joke and really add to the quality of the bipod.Came in a clear plastic bag with paperwork from Harris. It's marked on the bottom with their name and the USA made stamp. Just open the package and its ready to go.Super easy to install and holds on tight. It's sturdy as hell. Feels very solid while being quite light (good for me as I have a heavy rifle). I sent about 20 rounds of 7mm Rem Mag down range and it couldn't be tightened beyond what I had done when I installed it. No shifting. No legs wiggling or falling or closing while shooting. The swivel makes a massive difference in ability to shift to different targets. I will be purchasing a pod lock though as I feel I don't quite have it tight enough. My rifle is quite heavy (12 pounds) and it WILL shift and move with a little pressure. That being said, if you hand-tighten the nut its not going to just flop around. It's easy to keep it still and level. I'd just rather it be a little bit tighter to really lock it in place and I just cant get enough leverage to do that without the podlock. The notched and spring-loaded legs are a huge improvement over others I've used. Easy and simple to manipulate with one hand whether you're raising or lowering them. Notches make it easy to get it locked into place. I got the 6-9 which for me was plenty of height for prone/bench shooting.Sling stud seems sturdy as well. I lugged the rifle around a good bit and it held on just fine. There is a bit of the bipod that digs into your back when you carry it though, but that was alleviated by tightening the sling up a bit.Overall, I'm glad I got it. There's a reason so many people recommend Harris bipods. Yes there are more expensive ones, but for sub-$100 I'll go with nothing other than Harris. Yeah you can get a bipod for $20-$30 dollars and it will probably be ok, but its no comparison when you get a quality bipod in.
