SELFCHECK Pregnancy Blood Test

I do not understand the negative reviews regarding this product. All I can say is that you have to follow the instructions VERY carefully, as there is more room for user error than using a urine pregnancy test. If you are not able to carefully follow instructions, then this product will simply be useless to you. The box contained everything needed to do the test, plus everything was of course sterile. It was very easy to extract blood from my finger and the little pipette collected the blood from my finger by just being in contact with the blood - do not squeeze the bulb! I carefully transferred the blood into the well and allowed it to soak for a few seconds before adding the solution to the well. Here is where the precision is required, as you have to add FOUR drops of solution but allow 2-3 seconds between each drop. Then I set a timer for 5 mins to allow the test to work. Results are very clear, as you can see from the photo, however I believe they are clear because I carefully followed the instructions. I would definitely use again but I would prefer to see 2 tests in the kit because there are 2 lancets and enough solution to test again. For the price, the addition of another test shouldn't be too costly for the manufacturer. Fantatsic piece of kit!

The pipette seemed to stop working half way to the line and suddenly wouldn't allow anymore blood to go in it so i resulted to just having to out the rest directly onto the tester myself which was hard to do. Also i ended uo using both of the finger pricks, not because i did it wrong but because i thought the problem was not enough blood was coming out my finger to fill the pipette. And still after making my other finger bleed, the pipette continued to not fill up. But as i said i ended up just putting the blood in directly then the dilute as the instructions stated. And after all that, i didn't even get a result. Not even one line. Just blank white nothingness. I followed all the instructions the best i could given the circumstances of the pipette not doing it's job and it still didn't work. I should have listened to the other people who left bad reviews. Waste of money and time

I don’t normally review products like this but thought I would on this occasion abd this is MY OWN OPINION on my personal experience I bought first one , I didn’t read instructions very well my own fault, so didn’t go according to plan results wasn’t clear my own fault cause I was impatient. Then a second i purchased very easy to use as I fully read instructions made sure I washed my hands twice before and did the rubbing alcohol swab and went so much smoothly than before finger prick needle was handy to have 2 just in case one didn’t fetch enough blood but normally washing your hands under hot water before you use the finger prick makes the job so much easier.( not medical trained but I have a finger prick test weekly at hospital and have done 14 years this is there advice to me ) you get a little pipette that you don’t squeeze to get the blood instead you just rest it on the blood and it flows up the pipette Untill you reach the black mark to say you have enough blood you then squeeze the pipette once full into the testing cassette and add the solution a few drops and away you go I feel if instructions are read and followed to a correctly you can get accurate results , I was followed up by doctors after and I can say results are accurate in my own personal experience CONS I do feel because you can pick up on pregnancy’s early there’s a lot of heartbreak even with urine tests ( we can now test as early as 6 days) chemical pregnancy which are very commonly Missed ( because we didn’t know or have advance testing Untill now ) but with testing early will get picked up due to small amounts of hormones your body makes during pregnancy might be followed by faint positives on urine or negative I just feel now my lesson is learned about testing early cause I would have never have know and would have just got my monthly cycle . what I don’t know about maybe a blessing in disguise less pain on my heart. Bought this as I've been feeling very off with lots of symptoms this week. My period Is due 7th. So 5 days to go. My pregnancy test results were very very faint. Almost invisible, so I thought a blood test would show something. Firstly, it arrived very quickly and was well packaged. Secondly, it's important to follow all steps very carefully. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. However, the process of collecting the blood is not as straightforward. It says to fill the pipette up to the line with blood but it stopped taking it after 1/4 of the way. So after using both lancets, I gave up and tried it with only 3-4 drops of blood. I added the diluent after the blood, as directed. The result took a long time to show up. It was more like 1hr 10 instead of 10 mins. But the result is visible. Then tonight I got Implantation bleeding, so I'm pretty confident that it's correct.

If like me , you came here to see reviews on this hidden gem of a product!, I I’ve got you. I highly recommend these tests!, yes they do show a positive reading very early on I am 6 days past ovulation, I chose this test as simply if my pregnancy doesn’t stick and results in a chemical early loss I knew not to drive myself crazy wondering if there was a line on a urine test. This has given me a boost that even if my pregnancy is does not become viable I can now seek fertility advice. There is a TikTok regarding this test which is how I came across it, I advise if you do take this test to follow up with urine tests following your missed period to confirm for sure. Please be aware this test is very sensitive and if you get a positive and go on not to test positive on a urine test it does not mean this was a false positive they are extremely rare despite what you may read, it simple means that your HCG didn’t reach the required amount to produce a positive result before resulting in a miscarrying early on. I don’t normally leave reviews but I wanted to about this. The test came well packaged etc and in my opinion with really good instructions of how to use. I gave it a 4* only on the fact that I had trouble with the pins (if that’s what there called) and then they both failed to work. I easily took it apart and then used the needle that way. I did have to squeeze the life out my finger :D but if you hold the pipit gently to the blood it goes up easily. I then popped the blood in the device and waited 30 seconds then added the liquid (4 drops) I waited 5 mins and then read the result. Admittedly I was sneaking peaks at the test whilst it did it’s thing but to start with it did look like a faint positive but after 5 mins it went negative so I’m guessing that’s just it at work. I would buy this again :)

This product would be very easy to use if it worked I wasted £20 used both tests as first didn't work once the sample was in the second I had the to open it to get to to work but the blood smudge and we can only see one of the line. I had bought another via my partners amazon the same test which worked perfect which said I was pregant but a urine tests says I'm not so were now not any clearer If I am or not so will have to wait and find out

I'm over the moon with this test, it was my first time ever using it, so I was a bit worried it would be wrong, I used it 6 days before my period was due and it came back positive, all urnin tests were still negative untill 2 days before period, so I got to find out earlier then I normally would and now my sweet little rainbow baby is due
