I recently bought the Penn-Plax Bird‑Life Cuttlebone for my birds, and I’m really pleased with how well they’ve worked. These cuttlebones feel more durable and less brittle than others I’ve tried, so they don’t break apart as easily when my birds use them. My birds took to them right away and seem to enjoy chewing and pecking at them throughout the day. It’s nice knowing they help keep their beaks healthy and trimmed naturally. They’re also easy to attach in the cage and stay in place without falling out. Overall, these cuttlebones are a great value and a good choice if you want something sturdy and long‑lasting that your birds will actually use. I’d definitely recommend them to other bird owners!

Toby and Gabby love these!
My birds love this cuttle bone! I have gotten them many times and have never gotten a broken one. They are a nice size and my boys chow down on them as soon as I put in a new one, which I do whenever it gets smaller. I don't wait until it is too small because they seem to like the "crispy" edges of a new one and I want them to get their calcium.

Calcium for isopods
I’m using this to supply calcium to the isopods in my terrarium and it is working well. I break it up into smaller pieces and they are happy.

It’s ok. Premium price for a bone.
Pet birds need this. Good size, thick but it tends to break. I usually buy cuttlebones locally at a much lower price.

The birds chew this.
My birds sure chew on this! I'm not a bird so I don't know how it tastes to my budgies. But this is like a cuttlebone is supposed to be. Attaching it to the cage was good. I've had other cuttlebone where the metal was not long enough to wrap around the cage wires. This one holds nicely and firmly.

The Best!!
My 3 Parakeets Absolutely LOVE these!! They go through them SO fast 🤣 Below you will see a photo of one I put in 6 days ago, it's 2/3 of the way gone already. Before these they RARELY used their Cuttle bone. I'm VERY Pleased with Penn-Plax 2-in-1 cuttle bone and so are my Parakeets 😉😁♥️

I read that these are also good for gerbils to chew on, gives them a little calcium boost - I bought this for a poorly furry who hurt his leg (possible fracture) thinking the extra calcium would do him good. Can't say for sure that the cuttlefish cured him, but he's all better now and he and his brothers have really enjoyed chewing on them!

My parakeets love these and I love the way they come in a package of 6 so I can stock up. They are good size solid cuttle bones.

This is by far the best cuttle bone product that I've bought for my bird. The price is great and the plastic holder that comes with it is sturdy and holds up to my conures aggressive chewing.

We rescue injured pigeons, they only one pecked at it. She seemed to appreciate it.
