2X Genius Gun Gap Filler 500ml Expanding Foam

Purchased this to fill under built in wardrobes in bedroom as whoever did the work did not make any attempt to properly seal the wall prior to doing . As it is semi detached house it meant I was hearing noise from the neighbours downstairs kitchen which was unacceptable to me. Not only that - there was a draft coming in as well.I only purchased one can - though I know I needed 2 as I wasn't sure how well it would work. I am pleased to advise it worked very well. very easy to use in an awkward space (small gap to put my hand through to get under the built in wardrobe). The nozzle did not clog at all and the foam expanded very well.I will purchase another can for the other side of the as the angle I was at I could only get to one side of the underneath of the built in wardrobe.The foam is pale yellow in colour. It had very little odour and it did not last long - I still ventilated the room though for safety but pleased there was almost no smell for very long.Edit:. 24/0/19 - since this review have purchased 3 times - it's that handy

So easy to use,even for a novice like me..So pleased I purchased this Item.Just follow the East to read instructions,don’t go mad with trigger pressure and you are good to go..I repaired a large hole in my Bathroom wall using this excellent product.When you are finished simply use the enclosed bung to seal the Nozzle and you can use it again.

Having checked some reviews of other similar products and seeing the negatives, I tried this and was pleased with its ease of use and its filling properties, It can be cut easily after setting to trim up any excess, and a standard filler can be used to fill any minor defects prior to painting if required. If any remains in the can after use, it can be stored and will still work again, so there is little waste.Ensure you read and follow the instructions and you should not be disappointed.

Assemble EVERYTHING you will need before you start, follow the instructions extremely carefully and wear the gloves and some old clothes. Do not get it in your hair as I did. The finished product does exactly what I wanted and I am really pleased with it.

Genius - you definitely get value for money with this. Unlike cheaper own-brand versions from the likes of B&Q which clog up after the first use rendering the remaining filler inaccessible, following the instructions allows this one to keep on giving until the last drop. The resulting filler is of much better quality too and is much more 'workable' than cheaper versions. Recommended.

Quite easy to use. I found it quite "runny" to start with when trying to fill a hole at about head level. I found it did not "stick" in the hole\gap and kept dripping to the floor. Got there in the end but used all the tube. Very good when dried out.

Worked a treat to fill gaps in our staircase! Aftermath was easy to clean up, cut and sand if there were any bits that expanded too much. After it dried we followed a handy video online which suggested to push in/cut out a few mm of the foam when level in order to use wall filler properly and once this was done, dried and painted... It looks brand new and we are NOT trades people haha!

This is one of the better gap fillers I have used but its price is a little too high. The attraction for the DIYer with this one is that it is more controllable with its unique valve system and I did find that handy but it is still expensive for that simple feature, there are plenty much cheaper ones just as good if you can cope with blocking the tube between filling different areas etc. I thought I would pay the extra to see if it was as good as they say, I'm not sure I would pay that much for it again. There's no doubt however that it does do a good job of filling your gaps.
