Love these pencils! They’re super smooth and easy to work with, and they’ve been perfect for adding highlights to my new coloring pages. The pigment is strong without being chalky, and they glide across the paper really nicely. You get a great value for the price too—five quality pencils that feel like they’ll last a while. Definitely a great addition to any art stash!

These chalk pencils are perfect for banner painting and sketching artwork before applying paint. They come off easily with no residue left over. They do tend to break, but with a pencil sharpener- this is fixable. They’re a great value for the $$ and I’ve used the same pack for 6+ months.

It's hard to pass up charcoal pencils for less than a dollar apiece so I got the Markart charcoal pencil set just to see. Price is less than $0.65 a pencil - that's a dollar less than General's - and performs quite well. There is a definite difference in hardness from hard to medium and soft and the range is pretty well set. Hard is hard but not diamond etching hard like General's can be; soft is soft, maybe not quite as velvet as Art Alternatives Ritmo 2B but I can't find anyone selling them and jeez-oh-man! Sixty-five cents for a decent charcoal pencil? Hard to beat. Don't know how tariffs will affect things - they're made in China.

I purchased these slender chalk pencils based on my sister's recommendation, as she suggested they would be suitable for writing the orders for my mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary. What is particularly appealing about these pencils is that they are not like thick pieces of chalk; they write very smoothly and boldly, without any flaking, and they possess a strong white color that ensures visibility. I encountered no issues with sharpening, and they write well without becoming sticky or smudged. The pack contains four pencils at a price that is remarkably low, especially when compared to what one would typically pay at a learning or craft store. These pencils were precisely what we required for our chalk order placement signs, and they performed perfectly. So all in all, soft but not smudgy so very easy to use and had no issues with them breaking! If you look closely at the picture you can see the sign and the chalk!

Took no time to trace an image from my projector onto a banner. Barely had to press down!
