Fantastic TV
Had this TV since December and I've loved it. Main reason I bought the U8Q was it's reported brightness and I'm happy to say it doesn't disappoint, I usually keep it in cinema night at 25% backlight and that's plenty bright enough for me at the moment. But when summer does come, my room attracts a lot of natural light so the extra 75% backlight will come in handy. HDR performance is excellent depending on the content, some movies implement HDR really well while others don't, it depends on what you're watching. From what I've seen, with the right content, this tv can get blindingly bright and wow you with the range of its colours. Gaming is also impressive, I've not noticed any lag and my PS5 can recognise 4K@60 input. Not 4K@120 but realistically, how many games will actually output at that resolution. The VIDAA interface is pretty simple, netflix app supports dolby vision, amazon prime video plays back HDR10+ and the BBC iPlayer app supports HLG hdr; all of which look great. TV doesn't have a built in app for Disney+ but I use an NVIDIA Shield for that, though it would be better if there was a native app so I can play Disney+ content in dolby vision. All in all, you can't go wrong with this tv, don't believe all this nonsense about motion, my TV has no such issue. Maybe this is because I turn off all motion processing as I am sensitive to the soap opera effect. For the price you can't get a better performing 4K HDR TV.

Brilliant TV with deep blacks and bright HDR
Brilliant picture for Netflix, television and gaming. HDR and 4k content looks incredible and despite the lack of HDMI 2.1 for 120hz, this TV let's PS5 games shine in all their glory. Black's are nice and deep but this TV is also perfect for bright rooms with how bright the screen can get. The smart home for apps is currently missing Disney+ and AppleTV but not much of an issue when paired with a Firestick.

Good value, great sound, decent picture.
I've had this set for around 3 months now and find it to be pretty good in terms of picture quality and features. Sound wise the built in speakers are a step up from some flat screen sets. Was easy to attach the stand and manoeuvre into position, the channel search wasn't overly long and once up and running it's fairly simple the navigate through the settings. Only issue is the built in smart features aren't dazzling but that can be overcome with a Firestick or such.

Hard to fault
Great tv. Looks good, picture quality and the sound are impressive. Simple to install. Only issue is Amazon reduced the price by £100 since my purchase!

Decent TV let down by some dodgy motion handling and broken 120Hz
•Build quality is decent. It wobbles a tiny bit when nudged but it's nothing to worry about. You'd have to really knock it about to topple it. I mean really try to knock it over. •Picture is good and does an decent job at upscaling HD channels but not so hot with with SD. 4K is where the TV really shines, though. Thanks to the QLED tech, colours are good, contrast is good and HDR is good. All that is good. •It gets nice and bright at over 1000 nits but because of this, HDR can suffer a little bit with blooming around bright highlights when local dimming is activated. Not a deal breaker as it's only really noticeable in a dark room. Ambient lighting can and does help alleviate the blooming somewhat. It's a non issue most of the time though. The only real issue is in extremely dark scenes the screen will turn off completely and then back again when the scene brightens or changes. It's very distracting when it happens but thankfully it's rare. Still, not cool. •Motion isn't great with fast panning shots causing jitter and blurring in broadcast TV and similar low frame rate stuff but it's not so bad when viewing 60fps content. Depends on your uses. •Sound is just fine. The soundbar design at the bottom is a little misleading as there are still only 2x 10 watt speakers like every other TV but it does the job well enough. It gets loud and does sound good. Get a proper soundbar or speaker set-up if you care enough about sound. •Haven't tried gaming yet but input lag numbers are nice and low at around 17ms for HDR and SDR both. The TV also has a native refresh rate of 120Hz BUT it seems to be broken right now. It accepts a 120Hz signal but does nothing with it. Hopefully Hisense sort that out. •Bluetooth remote is nice and weighty feeling very solid. It's all metal with a cramped but functional keypad. Took a few days but I'm somewhat used to the layout now so hardly need to look at what I'm doing. Has a built-in mic too so you can use Alexa or Google home. Alexa specifically doesn't need any extra hardware, it's buil-in. You can also use the mic function to pull up TV settings and change channels/settings quickly with your voice. •The smart features are all here with all the apps you'd expect. Browser, YouTube, Netflix and all that. Loads to choose from if you're into that stuff. You get the occasional freeze and lag spike navigating menus and settings but it's mostly quick and snappy. Better than some more expensive TVs however. ...So yeah. So far so good apart from the broken 120Hz and screen turning off completely in really dark scenes. Hopefully Hisense can fix a few things with an update.

Exceptional Picture quality. Motion smoothing is evident, may needs some working in settings.
Exceptional picture quality. Some struggles with fast moving sports, motion smoothing is apparent. Maybe, just needs a quick change of settings, but with out of the box configuration this is evident. Watching Our Planet in 4K Dolby vision was a heavenly experience on this tv. JBL speakers produce cinematic sound, nothing to complain. I’ll not need a separate sound bar for sure. Software, Vidaa is just okay.
