BESSEYKT5-1CP single spindle edge clamp for use with clamp rails up to 1/2

These unique Bessey clamps are useful for a number of things, probably mostly for edge banding. The pictures show how they can be used to create a hold down on the workbench as well.

Thees are a great addition to my bar clamp selection. Must have for any DYI woodshop.

Such a silly little tool that you wonder how you got along without.

These auxiliary clamps are made to work with bar clamps. A quick test of the two I bought indicates that they hold with moderate strength. The previous complaints about off-center action appear accurate but this is ameliorated by the very good ball and socket joint on the pressure pad.I bought these to facilitate re-gluing the Formica on the front of my kitchen counter top. I have high hopes. Will update when the job is done.One more thing. These clamps are made to work with bar clamps with a deep throat. If the throat depth of your bar clamps is < ~3" be cautious in your expectations.

I bought these to apply edge trim to a set of curved face cabinet shelves. There was no other way for me to do this other than edge clamping. Clamp holds itself in place as you position your work, then just a few turns to apply a great amount of pressure. I bought two of these so I could leapfrog my way from one point to another and keep the pressure on the trim as I nailed it off. Worth every penny. FYI internal mechanisms are plastic while the outer frame is aluminum. Had no issues whatsoever other than the occasional wiping up a drop of glue to keep everything clean and working well.

I've been using Bessey bar clamps for years and sometimes you have a situation where you don't have access to both sides of what you want to clamp. Enter the spindle clamp which uses the existing bar clamp to really tighten (clamp) down the surface. I bought several and they helped me out immensely on a recent project. My only regret is not having enough clamps, but I am getting there

I just bought several of these, and they were all assembled upside down.Fortunately it's a really easy fix.Unscrew the handle until the swivel tip pops off (you may have to ensure the tip meets the yoke squarely, not canted, but then it should pop off quite easily).Then switch the screws around and tap the swivel tip back on with a mallet (or clamp pressure).(Again, ensure the tip is square, not canted, for easiest assembly.)Takes longer to write about it than to do it.I strongly suspect the assembly quality control (hah) is related to their no longer being German made.I considered they might be counterfeit, but I'm pretty sure not.Aside from the lack of "Germany" markings they're pretty indistinguishable from older German ones I have, and the parts are interchangeable.

Work great just pricey
