Rosti Mepal Calypso Titanium Compost Bin

I really like this wee Caddy. It looks sleek, smart and less obtrusive than the big green local council bins. You can see that clearly in my comparison photos. Its plenty big enough for a day's waste which is perfect. I really don't want to have any more waste lying longer than it should. The lid stays up and out the way. I highly recommend.I found this wee thing on the Internet. Shopped around as they come in a range of prices. This seller came out the cheapest so happy purse too.

Having the words “mepal” and “titanium” in the title is just begging for people to misread it and expect something other than a plastic container.Aside from that, I wanted a small container to put next to my coffee machine for the empty pods. This looks good on the counter and makes my life that tiny bit easier, so I’m happy.It would be nice if it were easier to open but you get used to it. It’s easy to clean and feels sturdy enough, doesn’t look cheap.

This is a smart, well made counter top waste bin. I use it as an alternative to a knock box for my espresso machine. It is a good size that doesn’t need emptying too often but not so large that it dominates the work top. My only criticism would be that, when opening the lid, any condensation that forms on the inside of the lid runs out of the back of the container. I have remedied this by putting some kitchen roll between the hinge points which seems to do the job.

This is a great caddy for worktop food recycling. Big enough for a days peelings etc. Looks smart and easy to empty and no odors when lid shut. The lid on mine seems to lift slightly at the back after opening so I have to press it firmly at the back after using to get lid to shut properly. Hopefully just a fault with my one.
