I found this tube cutter and happy I did. Easy to use on small pipe. Handy and works great. I can hold the pipe and use other hand to use the cutter. Cuts are clean and neat. Size is the best and made of tuff stuff. Worth the money.

Put it in my tool box and is great for cutting small hardware. It will cut the size I need for my retro mountain bike yokes "FORKS."

I have not used one of these before. After doing some research this one appeared to be the best since I had such tight quarters to work in. I got this to cut cooper pipe from a hot water baseboard heat unit. I am not sure if I did something wrong but the pipe vent, it did not cut it, I tried tightening it more and it just bent the pipe. I was able finally to get 5 sections of pipe cut in 1 room. It took me literally 2 fulls days. I had a blister on my one hand after the first day. I was able to get a good smooth cut on 3 of the 10 cuts. I ended up bending the pipes on those 3 cuts to get the other end off. The other 4 cuts were basically the surfaces scratched and I had to wiggle and twist the pipes to get it off the rest of the way from the partial cut. It was convenient to use since it was hand held but for that same reason it was difficult to get a good grip, but one with a handle would not have fit. Again I am not sure if I was doing something wrong but I wanted to return it. I did not since I used it, it for $10 it went in the trash. I’ll use a jigsaw for the remainder of the house.

Perfect Tool

This cutter while it will open to accept 1 1/8" tubing; failed to make an impression on the aluminum tubing I need to cut. The sliding design binds when at that setting. Making it impossible to tighten the screw to move the rollers closer to the cutting blade. The cutter blade barely made an impression on the aluminum tubing I need to cut. This cutter may work just fine on smaller diameter tubing. But smaller tubing is not why it was purchased.

Did the job with ease! Need to shorten a stainless steel tube for a clothing rack, took less then a minute! Straight, clean cut.

Quería cortar el tubo de aluminio de un grosor de 1mm aproximadamente y, aunque todos mis amigos me dijeron que era imposible, lo compre. A diferencia de los video, en que cortan en 3 pasadas un tubo, yo me tardé unos 20 y pesados minutos. Cuesta un poco de trabajo y requiere paciencia pero lo logras. Es increíble que puedas hacer esto y a ese precio.

I was not overly impressed to begin with, till I understood how it worked from my partner, once opened then tighten on pipe you push down into the device holding both sides of the pipe and fully turn it till it makes a mark on pipe, then tighten again do same again, keep tightening and turning and you'll do it ! simple as that, easy when you know how !
