Enriched Top Soil 25L

It’s a good product however I needed that for my front garden and it was too light with lots of coconut skin in it so probably better for different occasions than outside gardening

Excellent finely-graded sandy loam with plenty of organic content (but not TOO light either): I used it as lawn top-dressing before over-seeding to provide a fine surface tilth on my unfriendly clay soil. Very well graded and fine: no random stones, wood, plastic, or other extraneous junk, so no need to re-seive or hand-sort before using, unlike many commercial soils in bags - very convenient. That said, ordering on Amazon is an expensive way to go: a 25L bag costs £5 or less from an online topsoil company, so if you are buying more than a couple of bags, find it at a garden centre or buy a pallet of 10 from a topsoil merchant. I ordered one to use in a hurry and to check what quality was like (excellent!): I will now be sourcing more elsewhere. It is costly to deliver heavy items not bought in bulk, so the Amazon seller is offering a perfectly reasonable price - it is just not an economical place to buy lots of bags!

I was really impressed with this top soil last year and compared to DIY store topsoil was brilliant, so I knew exactly what I wanted this year. Ordered 3 bags which considering the quality knew that would be enough. Unfortunately I received a completely different product which was really annoying. Ok maybe just a different cover but the quality inside was rubbish compared to what the product should have been. When you pay for a quality topsoil and receive one with clay and stones in on the day you’ve booked off to do the work it’s a bit too late to be looking into returning 3 bags of heavy topsoil so it had to do. Lumps everywhere on my lawn now.Why did I receive a completely different bad quality topsoil when paying extra for better quality.It wasn’t even the same brand

Good product - no stones, general rubbish you would find in top soil. However I have just realised that it is much cheaper to buy at garden centre. For £4.99 I just brought a 35 litre bag, whereas this 25 litre bag cost me significantly more. In fact the same product ( not this one ) I brought from garden centre is selling on Amazon currently for £12.99.

Does smell a bit. Read that from another review. Fine outside and never got the same manure kinda smell again after laying it. Not the cheapest

For small projects this top soil is perfect value for money. Spreads easily and grass germinates quickly.

The delivery driver was rude. Product was nicer than delivery driver. Packaging all split. Don’t think this was the sellers fault
