Excellent stakes!
I picked up a 12-pack of these to replace the easy-to-bend stakes that came with a guy line-dependent tent -- a less than $20 upgrade that makes all the difference. They drive in smoothly, come out cleanly, and stay in place. They're super lightweight (and thus cool for backpacking), and I dig the bright red pull cord at the top (really helpful added visibility if your tent has a lot of guy lines). These are exactly as advertised: tough, simple, perfect. › I'm not including a photo of the actual stakes (WYSIWYG), but the photo here shows what they're actually capable of: in this case, securing a tent on a windy 5000-ft ridge.

Great tent stakes!
Despite being relatively inexpensive, these stakes are made real well. They seem strong and sturdy, capable of holding down any tent I own . I acidentally kicked one of these stakes when it's in the ground, it bent a bit, but they are quite easy to bend back into shape if you have a crack to stick them in. Overall, I would highly recommend the Wise Owl tent stakes to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable option for securing their tent or tarp. I will update if I have issues in the future.

Amazing tent stakes!
My son is a cub scout, which involves camping. He loves it. I could take or leave it, Last year, we tried camping twice and the tent I purchased was easy to assemble, but the stakes were subpar. They bent easily and didn't go in the ground well. Luckily, I found these stakes. I haven't staked my tent with them yet, but I tested them in the ground and they are amazing. They are lightweight, but sturdy. They insert and remove easily from the ground and they are a great price considering you get 16 of them! Like the Boy Scouts, I will be prepared for the next camping trip...whenever this stupid virus passes and we can get back to our normal lives!

Good stakes bad cords
Overall I think they are a great value. I really liked the stakes themselves but the little loops on them broke off on 4 of the stakes. I guess if you don’t pull on the loop in order to pull out the stakes then it’s not a problem but I’m not sure how else you are supposed to pull them out of the ground.

Works Great - Beats Included Stakes
I'm not even sure why tent makers even include those weak stakes with their products. I suppose the simple straight piece of metal with a little bend can work, but... just so weak. And pulling them out can be a hassle. Anyway, we got a new tent. A large one. Full family size. So I decided to get some good stakes for it. We have some of the large 3 sided plastics ones for this huge bounce house we've got, but those are way overkill for taking on a camping trip. These things have the three sides / blades, (not sure if there's a. name for that), a place to tie off and they come with a little cord on them to pull them out. On my first try with them, they hammered into medium hard clay soil easily enough, and pulled out reasonably easily as well when it was time to go. They're also super light. Anyway, we're happy with them. We haven't actually used them in high winds yet, but they seem strong enough. (At least, when I tripped over the guy line, that didn't pull them out anyway!)

Better than MSR Groundhogs
Let me first say that you need to understand what tent stakes are best for the right kind of ground. These, or any similar stakes, will not do fantastic in super hard, rocky ground, nor will they stay in super soft muddy ground/sand. These are your middle-range type of stakes, similar to the classic MSR groundhogs. With that said, however, I prefer these to the MSR groundhogs for three main reasons: 1) They're more sturdy at the "neck" than the groundhogs. I have gone through AT LEAST 8 or so groundhog stakes that bent way too easily at the top point where the guy line is supposed to catch, rendering them useless. These stakes are noticeably thicker in that area, and I've yet to bend one of these at that neck point (or anywhere) either by stepping on them, or banging on them with a rock. 2) They're smooth on all edges. The MSR groundhogs are quite sharp. Maybe that's supposed to be a good thing for getting them into the ground or something, but it seems unnecessary. And it has 2 cons. First, I've cut a guyline on them. And second, it increases your chances of cutting or poking a hole into some other piece of fabric in your pack. With the Wise Owls, even the tips are rounded off, so very little chance of tearing anything else up unless you're REALLY trying to, and even then it would probably be a bit of a challenge. 3) They're much, much cheaper. These are $20 for 16, the groundhogs are $20 for 6. So for a product you're going to eventually bend/break/replace, you might as well save a few bucks and not get super annoyed when something does happen to them. If with the extra money you never had to replace them, I would say go for the Groundhogs. But I really thing this is just a better product for a much better price. Also, for the gram counters out there, I haven't weighed them, but these are both listed at 13g (0.46oz) per stake.
