I've owned two other tablet car mounts. This one is the one to own. I now have two of them. First, it works with all three of my tablets (which happen to all be different). The strap mount is strong and permits installing with just about any headrest. Take my word for it, you want the strap and NOT the plastic half-moon clips. These things easily break, especially if your kid hops in your car and just grazes them. That popping sound you hear is broken plastic that cannot be glued or fixed. Not the case with these holders. Yes, they are holders. You slide your tablet into the top and it holds it in place without any issue at all. The product is well made and very easy to install. No issues with them, even after sitting in the hot Florida sun all day long. They also permit hooking up your charger to the tablet while it is in the holder. They were a hit on this last road trip and I am confident they will work very well for years to come. Don't make the mistakes I did by buying the other type. Save your money and get this mount. You will be very pleased (and a wee bit wealthier).

So simple to set up! Is definitely a universal style. While it holds my Samsung Galaxy 10" tablet in place, it leaves plenty of viewing screen. The only complaint that I have is how loose of a fit it has. That's the only reason it does not have 5 stars. However, it is "universal" and they give you little foam pads to help, but they don't do much.All-in-all, it was a great purchase. It does exactly what it was intended to do.

It is not a universal tablet holder. Unless you have a 10.1 inch tablet it doesnt work. It is cheap, flimsly plastic in which your tablet will bounce around in or simply fall out. This is like an item you would find in a dollar store. It is certainly not worth the asking price and the term "universal" is simply not true. Universal should mean all or atleast most tablets of common sizes. Not just one specific size. My tablet is a common size but in no way shape or form can stay into this holder since it is a 7 in. It just simply falls out since there is no way to secure it. If you have a 10.1 inch tablet then this product would probably work great. I guess universal was supposed to mean "fits all 10.1 inch tablets regardless of the brand name stamped on the tablet... I.E. ipad or android.

It doesn't fit all tablets as they claim. Waste of time and money.

We bought this holder after trying a couple others from big box stores (which we returned promptly, too many screws, arms and things that break). There are several things nice about this tablet holder and the best is how simple it is. It seems durable enough that it should last a long time, even with the kids toughing on it. One really great feature that I haven't seen on any others is that you can just drop in your tablet with it's cover still on. It just slips right in. It couldn't be easier to use when we are leaving or to get the tablet out when we arrive. All that and free shipping, I'd say I have to buy another for my other kid to use.

Bought this to go with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 that has a Fintie case. It fits, super snug. Tore a small part of the case the first time sliding it in. May reinforce the sides of the mount with packaging tape so it'll slide better and not tear up my new leather case! I may cut the top part off, haven't decided yet. I'm definitely going to re-engineer the plastic mount. Price seems steep, but it's more TVM in my situation.

It has really rigid and sharp edges / corners, not the best idea for kids. Wish it was filed down or rounded.The strap isn't the best as it leaves a long strip hanging loose if you're trying to keep it night and tight.No real option for vertical mounting/display.
