I got this for my husky puppy who had a habit of chewing on her lease during walks and chewed threw her first leash within a month. The anti-chew leash extension broke her leash chewing habit instantly. When she does bite it now (maybe once a week), she drops it immediately. The leash and handle are good quality and heavy duty. The handle is heavier than my first retractable leash, but after two months of use, I don't notice it anymore, but if you're looking for something lightweight, this isn't it. The leash doesn't tangle and retracts well, and the lock/rekease button works good. I've had two instances in two months of daily use - once where it wouldn't retract and once when it wouldn't unlock. Other than those two times, it's worked great.

My dog chewed through my last retractable leash, so I did some research and I found that this one seemed like it would prevent the same thing from happening again. I especially like the ease of using the locking feature and the comfort of the handle. The extra cord to attach it to something is a great added bonus.

This leash, with the hard plastic connection to the collar, is the only leash our dog hasn't chewed through. I gave this 4 stars only because the locking system is not the greatest; the release is not as easy as others. Also, because the connection piece is heavier than the fabric ribbon leash part, it does tend to sag a bit and my short dog winds himself around it more than a fabric tape leash. But, since he has chewed through every tape leash within a few minutes of using it, it is totally worth it!!

This leash has lasted me 2 yrs with my 90 pound black lab & still works great. Only problem I had is after lots of use, the part on the clip that your thumb presses down to open the clip broke off after 2 yrs, but still not a big deal. After some practice I can open the clip with my thumb still

Works great with golden retriever puppy that chews through everything! Does not recoil as fast as last one so I feel it’s safer. Lightweight and easy to hold. Would buy again

We have a very strong bull dos that pulls and chews. He can’t chew on this one when we stop to take a break and it’s durable for his strength.

This is a great leash with a 12 inch (I think) cane that connects to the end of the lease and then to the dog collar. Ricky Bobby ( my JRT) must hold onto the leash for his walks🙄. He’s destroyed numerous ones, but cannot destroy this one. Great retractable dog leash.

I purchased this retractable leash for my 30 lb + doodle puppy & it works very well for her! It allows me the control that I need, while giving her the space that she requires in order to “do her business.” Absolutely satisfied with this purchase!

The steel cable is dangerous both for your dog and human owner - the strands started coming off which is sharp. We stopped using the steel cable and yesterday the leash just snapped. I have a 15 lbs dog shitzu, this is very low quality.

I really like the 15 inches of chew proof metal. My husband had taken our puppy to meet his mother and kept her on the lead so she wouldn't jump up. The puppy chewed completely through the lead. That was our second lead in 4 weeks that she had destroyed! She will never chew through this new one so we are happy
