Slick Racing-Styled Office Chair for a Good Price
I was getting tired of sitting at my computer in a dining room chair, so I went shopping for a proper office chair. To preface the situation: I spend my working hours on my feet, so when I get home, I like to relax at my computer and game for a "healthy" amount of time each night. I spent a fair amount of time researching and finally made my choice: the Vertagear SL2000.The assembly was pretty straightforward and I accomplished it solo in about 15-20 minutes, although, I would recommend having someone around to hold the backrest while you attach it to the base. The Allen wrenches, screws, and washers all come with the package and are bagged for those of you who don't like a scavenger hunt when you're trying to put together an office chair. The instructions are very simple and clear--they display all of the parts (and the names of each part), each step in the assembly, and what size screws/wrenches you need to use. There is also a video tutorial on their site but I didn't need to watch it, as the assembly is pretty basic. Now onto the most important part: sitting! I'm going to get the "negative" out of the way first: I'm 6' 6" and the backrest should be about 2-3 inches taller for me to rest my head comfortably (I did go into purchasing this chair knowing that it wasn't built for a super tall guy, so I'm not holding it against them at all), the lumbar support is uncomfortable (maybe because I'm skinny and bony) but that can be removed, and the arm rests can't slide forward, only up and down (this isn't an issue to me as my arms generally just "float" anyway).Onto the positives for this chair: it seems sturdy, the racing chair design is slick (probably a great themed chair for racing fans/steering wheel usage), the seat feels firm and not mushy at all, it adjusts/reclines well, and the price is good.TL;DR: Great chair for people around 6' 3" and under, easy assembly, fair price, firm and supportive, durable, and looks cool!

Hard as a rock, not comfortable at all.
I have had this chair for about 6 months, and I have regretted purchasing it from day one. The back has basically no padding except on the side parts. The seat has not broken in either, so it still has no give. You are better off buying a chair from an office supply store in my opinion. After less than an hour I am stiff and in discomfort. I am a perfectly healthy young person by the way. "Gaming" chairs are a joke, and this one is no exception.

Perfect for a guy like me
I am a computer gamer (DOTA2) who unfortunately spends too much time in front of the computer thus motivating me to get a better chair than the $65 basic chair I had. This is a very good computer chair for a person like me. I am 6'1" and 195 LBS (186cm and 89kg). The "bucket" sides fit the side of my abdomen nicely (might be too small for someone 50 LBS heavier than me) and the headrest has plenty of height permitting a much taller person to use the chair. I hate lumbar support so I don't use it however the neck-rest attachment is surprisingly nice for sitting back and watching Buffy. The arm-rests are what separates this chair from many others. Many computer chairs have are rests that are far too cumbersome and get hung up on the computer desk. This chair was clearly designed with the insight that your elbow and base of forearm is a relatively small area, so that even a small armrest like this can accommodate all arm shapes. (Mine are long, my wife's are short). Having the chair not get stuck on the desk allows for more comfortable positioning of the chair to the desk. Also, the convex shape of the armrests makes them surprisingly comfortable. The chair is heavy and of mostly durable materials. One thing I have noticed is that inside the back of the chair (left side) there seems to be a lose spring (or something) that makes a slight "click-feeling" and "spring stretching sound" when I stretch my back. It did this from day one but since it doesn't bother me personally, I kept the chair.I found the chair very easy to put together. I think the manufacturer may have improved the design and/or build quality of the parts to make it easier for the consumer to assemble than in the past. This chair was exactly what I was hoping for and vastly superior in comfort and quality to an equally priced store bought chair got 4 years ago.

Not bad for the price but could do better
The chair Is very comfortable, putting it together was a pain. My chair's screw holes were slightly off and I had to saw part of the metal base in order to get it to fit. For the price, this chair has some pretty cheap plastic parts, one of the side panels broke off, and the chair's armrests are made of plastic without any padding and they're very uncomfortable

I love the chair it looks great
I love the chair it looks great. At first i wasnt use to a chair of that style but it really helps with posture. The only reason i dont give it 5 stars is cuz it squeaks when i adjust the back park but its only whn adjusting so its ok to me.

Très bonne chaise
Chaise reçu sous colis très bien protégé, facile a monté, l'assise est assez dur tout en restant bien confortable (en plus des deux coussins) très bon pour les gens comme moi qui reste assis longtemps et qui forme un creux dans leur siège
